Nice for Universal. I’m looking forward to Despicable Me 2 since I really enjoyed the first one. I’m also looking forward to Oblivion and I’m glad Tom Cruise is officially doing it. Hes better when hes in action films especially Sci-Fi ones.
Hopefully Universal can also get Jurassic Park IV underway for a release sometime in 2013. I heard early this week that Steven Spielberg was talking to Universal about ideas for a 4th film in the Jurassic Park series. I’m a big fan of them and always will be. I enjoyed all 3 films even though the 1st was the best. Hopefully Universal can get the ball moving on Jurassic Park IV. With the technology and 3D that we have today, I think they can do some amazing things with that movie. Hopefully Steven comes back to do it too.
It looks like “Monsters University” is screwed. Its gonna be squeezed right between “Turbo” from Dreamworks and “Despicable Me 2″
from Universal. I also think Memorial Day weekend would be a better release date for “Oblivion”. But I do wonder what big live-action film will challenge the Despicable Me sequel for the big Independence day weekend.
What’s UA going to now? Besides co-finance MGM movies.
