Law & Order alumna Chris Levinson has signed a two-script deal with Chernin Entertainment — one for broadcast through 20th Century Fox TV, where Peter Chernin’s company is based, and one for cable through Fox TV Studios, which she will write on spec. Additionally, Levinson is helping on the Fox drama pilot Touch, also from Chernin Entertainment and 20th TV. She will likely be upped to a more formal role on the drama starring Kiefer Sutherland if it’s picked up to series as expected. The script deals and the gig on Touch reunite Levinson with Chernin Entertainment’s president of television Katherine Pope, who ran NBC’s in-house studio while Levinson was under overall deals there for four years. There, WME-repped Levinson created and executive produced the drama pilot Lost & Found.

Well deserved. LOST & FOUND was a great script. Looking forward to her next creation.
Chris is an amazing writer! Good for her and good for FOX for being smart enough to get into business with her!
congrats! she is such a great person to work with and a is so talented. well deserved.
I’m sorry to say I don’t know much about her career, but her father was/is my idol, along with his partner Bill Link – and no, I’m not an old guy. I only bought their book Stay Tuned in an old bookstore and went back and tried to watch everything they did, and I discovered excellence. And if the chip doesn’t fall far from the tree, then she has to be brilliant. All the best for her.
how is it possible to write a script ‘on spec’ when there is already a deal for it?
well, her dad was her idol and she has done him proud. she is a phenomenally talented writer and always has been. as for personalty, none better.
