A&E is bringing back its drama series Breakout Kings for a second season that could begin in the first quarter of 2012. The series, from Fox 21, stars Laz Alonso and Domenick Lombardozzi as U.S. Marshals who use former fugitives to catch fugitives. Production is slated to get underway later this year. This is the series that was in contention at Fox before the network passed on the pilot last year. A&E came to the rescue, and its premiere in March set a record with the highest 18-49 demo rating for a drama on the network, drawing 1.5 million adults 18-49 and 2.8 million total viewers.

Great news, I enjoy watching this show.
Two hardest working writers in television.
working the strip clubs maybe.
I don’t know whether to cheer or cry.
Go with “cry.”
It belongs on A&E. Good for them.
Finally! I need more Lloyd in my life!!!
Yes, Jimmi Simpsons is the only reason to watch this.
I’m sure their viewer is thrilled.
I AM GLAD THAT BREAKOUT KING WAS RENEWAL. I CAN’T WAITTHE BUY SEASON ONE ON DVDE FORMAT. IT IS RARE TO SEE A SHOW WHERE EVERYTHING IS BLACK AND WHITE. SOMETIME I FEEL SORRY FOR THE VILLAIN WHO GOT ALOT GOING FOR THEM. I LOVE THE CARMEN VEGA THE CRIME BOSS WHO WAS SO EVIL THAT I WAS SHOCK THAT THE WRITER DIDN’T KILLED HER OFF. I GOT A FEELING THAT SHE POP UP IN FUTURE SHOW. GOOD LUCK TO THE FUTURE. YOUR TRULY CHARLES DAVID HASKELL
What? I can’t hear you!
Eddie Haskell (in spirit; yes, I know, you aren’t Ken Osmond — but then, again, neither am I).
You own a piece of that show, Charles (excuse me, Eddie)?
So glad to hear this. Love watching the relationship evolve between Jimmi Simpson and Brooke Nevin’s characters. I think Season 2 should have some conjugal visits written in. #inlovewithgeeks
Yes, I Love Breakout Kings!! Great show & I can’t wait to watch Season 2!! It’s about time!!
Glad to hear it. Like the show a lot. Laz Alonso proves he’s got leading man charisma and dramatic chops. He’s the reason I watch. Him and the relationships among the characters. However, a little of Lloyd goes a long way. I hope he develops beyond his eccentricities.
nice was hoping a&e would renew the show. for love the chemistry with the characters plus loved the one where they went after teabag from prison break.
I’ve got to say this is the only procedural I like.I think it’s the characters.
Decent show to watch, although I thought “Chase” was better as far as the whole fugitive hunting thing goes. Serinda Swan is a pretty face but I thought the convicts were a little too good and cooperative to be criminals.
Ouch on CHASE. I think you’re the only one who liked it. Cookie Cutter across the board.
I wish they would just let Serinda Swan’s character be a badass without her crying over her daughter every two seconds like she’s Elliot Stabler from SVU.
I really want to like her character since she’s one of two women on the show, and she has her good moments, but the role really needs work. You have all these great male characters, a wimpy woman working in the office, and another woman who could be great, but keeps being forced into hysterics.
She’s not the only character with kids, but is the only one who flips out like that.
If they like this so much, why didn’t they renew MANHUNTERS:Fugitive Task Force for a fourth season.
That was the “Real” show about U.S. Marshals cathing fugitives.
Good for Alonzo
Good news. Smart show with good performances. Fox missed the boat when they let this one go.
Jimmi Simpson rules….
Those creators must be happy that Fox picked Lone Star and Chicago Code over Breakout Kings!
Great show great cast I am glad its coming back
Excellent show…great stories..but where is Gunderson??…he is one of the most interesting of the Breakout Kings..funny but dangerous!!..
That’s right, Brock.
It was great seeing you do your thing. It’s Melanie from Vancouver Playhouse.
This is great…I love the show and the characters. Just got to know them and wouldn’t want to be disappointed to find out it got cancelled.
Great news. Solid show all around. This one and Glades put A&E on the map for me.
Ray is the best… good lines
