‘Spider-Man’ Villain Revealed At The Con! New Clips, Plus Andrew Garfield Surprise
There’s footage circulating online of Andrew Garfield’s surprise Comic-Con appearance to introduce The Amazing Spider-Man. Even though Garfield is going to be 28 in August, doesn’t he look like every young kid who’s ever knocked on your door on Halloween in their Spider-Man costume, after deciding it was too hot to leave the hood on and that you’d give them candy anyway?

I’m still not sold on the idea of remaking Spider-Man (especially ten years after the first movie), but that was very genuine and Andrew Garfield did a better job selling the project than the trailer did.
I got a really strong Evanna Lynch Becoming Luna Lovegood vibe when Andrew was talking. He’s the biggest Spider-man nerd in the world, and I think it’s wonderful for us to see how he’s really committed to the role, and, that this is basically his biggest dream come true. I’m so looking for this new take on Spidey.
Nice acting, Andrew, I REALLY believe that Spiderman “saved your life.”

Emma…Emma…Emma…
Touching? How is that touching?? He meant everything so much that he had to read from a script. He’s an actor. He’s selling his movie. With a shite accent too. Ugh…brits…
I’m American, and his accent didn’t bother me one bit. As for the paper, he’s not acting, he’s making a public speech and doesn’t want to go off the cuff, as what he’s saying is too important to him.
I was in the audience to see that speech happen. My friends and I, all in the Hollywood entertainment industry, were very, very skeptical about the prospect of a new Spider-Man. Garfield’s speech kicked open the door for us to accept the reboot. The footage Hall H saw of the movie (much of it raw) sold all of us on the fact that this movie could surpass the original.
LOL.
No.
NERD.
Hi Josh
I’m looking to get a new TV… since you are obviously an employee of Sony I was wondering if you could help me get a discount?
Thanks
The Spidey reboot looks really good and Garfield is a good choice for the role. However, I don’t see it doing the kind of numbers the Raimi films did. Those films had little competition and felt really fresh at the time. This new Spider-Man is going up against a Dark Knight and a bunch of Avengers. Spidey is no longer the only superhero in town.
All you naysayers are going to eat crow when this comes out next year. It may not surpass the original in terms of box office, but it’ll be better than Sam Raimi’s version with Toe-bee. Bank on it.
Beat the original? The $403,706,375 In 2002 dollars or the $546,150,100 adjusted for 2011?.
Um im pretty sure he said it wouldnt beat the original in terms of $$$.
But it might be the better movie.
don’t think may Is right more like will not.
Will not surpass Is my guess.
He seems like a very sweet kid.
But you still couldn’t pay me to see emo Peter Parker.
Uh what about Tobey Maguire is not emo?
Put a human spider in this movie! That scene was so epic in the first movie that I cannot believe they can do better now
