Syfy has picked up a fourth season of the BBC fantasy series Merlin in a deal with FremantleMedia Enterprises. The series, produced by Shine TV, started its U.S. run on NBC under Ben Silverman. It was canceled after one season and moved to sibling Syfy where it has done solid business in Season 2 and Season 3, recently averaging 1.93 million viewers for its third season, up 12% from Season 2. Meanwhile, VH1 has renewed its first hourlong scripted series Single Ladies for a second season. Both Merlin and Single Ladies will return with originals in 2012.

Single Ladies is a fun show. Congrats to Stacy A. Littlejohn.
Agreed! Single Ladies is a blast; great summer soap! I wish it had a 22 episode pick up.
It’s great to see VH1, BET, and MTV picking up scripted shows. I’m over the reality shows.
Single Ladies is quite a good show. I turned in my man card and have been watching for a while.
Well written show… I think it should get a longer season of episodes too.
Merlin is the best show by far on Syfy.. I only wish we get longer episodes, please Mr. Chris Regina….
I totally agree, Merlin is sooooooooo good and is the best show on Syfy… Love, love Merlin… I can’t get enough; I’m going through withdraw right now…. Please, please, please give us more, more episodes…
Merlin is by far the best show on Syfy apart from Eureka… Merlin deserved more episodes… C’mon give the fans what they want…
I agree, the episodes are too short. This is my favorite show.Get it back on TV real soon.
