Christopher McDonald, whose character Tommy Jefferson recurred last season on NBC’s Harry’s Law, has been upped to series regular for the upcoming season, which kicks off Sept. 21 on a new night and time period: Wednesdays at 9 PM. It’s the latest casting move for the legal drama, which last week added Tony winner Karen Olivo (West Side Story) as a regular, playing a new associate at the law firm run by Kathy Bates’ Harry. The series, from David E. Kelley and Warner Bros TV, also inked a deal with former Law & Order: LA star Alfred Molina for a three-episode arc as a man accused of murdering his wife. McDonald, who also recently appeared on the small screen in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, is repped by Gersh, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Andrew E. Freedman Public Relations.

A mere formality. He’s been in almost every episode anyway.
I haven’t seen the show but i’m going to go way out on a limb here and guess he’s playing a smarmy insufferable jerk?
Any news on if Jordana Spiro will return?
This guy eats pieces of shit for breakfast.
Just stay out of my way… or you’ll pay! Listen to what I say!
Are you too good for your home?
That’s great news. He’s the Denny Crane of Harry’s Law.
“Harry’s Law” is one of the more interesting shows on NBC. Christopher McDonald has been a nice addition to the show. I only hope that they develop his character a little more next season. In the first season, his character has been written as almost a carbon copy of Denny Crane (William Shatner) from “Boston Legal.” But still a compelling character to watch.
Tommy Jwfferson is a great tv character. This is good news.

Talk about faint praise!
I look at this guy and all I see is “Grease 2″ and Shooter McGavin.
they added a new associate to the firm? i thought it was perfect the way it was, hope they don’t dilute the show by adding too many new characters to it. is it true that ms snow is leaving? saw it mentioned on here previously but haven’t been able to find news about it anywhere else?
She got fired. Could care less, her character was insufferable. Her talents are better off elsewhere.
He adds a little dumb comedy. Sometimes too dumb to be a lawyer.Don’t change the show too much,I like it was.
