Deadline Hollywood has learned that popular Fox News Channel anchor Megyn Kelly will make her return from maternity leave on Monday Aug. 8. That is exactly four months after Kelly’s last broadcast on April 8. She gave birth to her second child, a girl, the following week, on April 14. When contacted, Fox News spokeswoman Irena Briganti confirmed Kelly’s return date.
Despite speculation that Kelly may take over the 5 PM slot vacated by the departure of Glenn Beck, she will resume her duties as solo anchor of her program, America Live with Megyn Kelly, which airs from 1-3 PM ET, while The Five, which has been airing in the 5 PM hour, is expected to continue its run through the summer as originally planned. Several FNC anchors rotated in filling in for Kelly during her maternity leave: Martha MacCallum, Alisyn Camerota, Shannon Bream and Gretchen Carlson. Kelly, a former corporate litigator, has been a rising star since joining FNC in 2004. The anchor, who also has a weekly segment on the network’s top-rated program The O’Reilly Factor, has become a pop culture fixture, listed as one of TV’s hottest anchors by Maxim and appearing in a sexy spread in GQ magazine.

I used to watch her show and thought it was good. But, if you watch for a while then you realize that she is a stuck up attention whore who’s only goal in life is fame. She is a hypocrite on many things she talks about. Megyn Kelly is not hot at all. Go to your local Starbucks and you will see several women that are more attractive than her. Both her and that chubby and old douchebag Patti Anne Brown should be doing local news.
Megyn Kelly’s also comes off as nerdy without social skills. There is nothing wrong with being nerdy. But, she thinks she is a supermodel that all men want!! HER ARROGANT ATTITUDE MAKES ME WANT TO VOMIT. There are several other women on Fox that are at least model attractive.
By the way, TO ANY OF THE AGENTS AND MANAGERS OF CNN, MSNBC AND ETC. FOX has the highest ratings because they have more attractive women than all those networks combined!!!! Well, besides mediocre looking Megyn Kelly who has to be sleeping with the boss.
But, getting back to the attractive women, CNN, MSNBC AND ETC. get your act together. I’m a liberal and I would rather watch a hot babe deliver the news so I switch to FOX. Dugh, seriously, IT’S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE TO THINK THAT MEN WILL GRAVITATE TOWARD A NETWORK THAT HAS MORE HOT WOMEN IN SHORT SKIRTS AND BIG BUSTS IN LOW CUT SHIRTS. Robin Meade on HLN is the closest but she never shows any thigh or low cut shirts like the women of FOX. I believe it’s some buffoon producer at HLN that’s keeping her from doing that.

I’ve often appreciated the legal background she brings to Fox News, and think she is admirable, bright, and attempts to be fair and truthful. She’s fearless in challenging interviewees, but polite and graceful.

I am really looking forward to having her back on the air. The bottom line is she is a former lawyer, good looking, and smart. She really seems to enjoy her work and is good at it. All I have to say is, 4 months of maturnity leave!!! How am I the only one mentioning this? Isn’t the maximum most people get around 6 weeks? Where do I get a gig like that!? What could she possibly be doing or makes her that important that 4 months seems reasonable. Kinda shows you the “commitment” she has to her work, not to mention the stunning deal that Fox for some reason signed off on for just another news reader. I can’t believe the show still has her name attached to it after all this time. Go to your boss next week and say, “yeah, so Im going to be taking the next third of a year off and I still want to get paid too.”
The women filling in for her have been just as good as her if not better, but I think that maybe because she has a smidge more visual appeal than them thats all that gets her that slot again. By the way, being one of the hottest news anchors in the country isnt saying much. I have two words Joy Behar, I rest my case.

Wow, such anger over this woman! I watch her 1-2 times per week and she is very knowledgeable and seems to really clarify the issues that are before us each day. She is also very pretty, no clue where that criticism could come from?

Welcome back Megyn, no matter how you spell your name. I’m sure if she were on CNN everyone would be touting her name as original. By law a company must allow up to 12 weeks of leave for the birth of a child (this also includes adoption or foster care). The company is not requred to pay the person while on leave, but if one can afford it one can take it.
What could she possibly be doing? – bonding with, and taking care of her child – you moron.
And just so you know, men can take off too. So, I guess if you manage to convince someone to have your child, you can get the same gig.

If any of the AHs who spoke against Megyn had half a brain, they would realize that Megyn Kelly has to do a LOT of work to do her show. She has to research, read, and weigh the news and comments. She has to be current and very smart (while she is also being a mother, wife, family member, and friend). That takes a great, organized brain. She is worth the 4 months leave to her employer (and to her fans).
