EXCLUSIVE: Imogen Poots has landed the female lead in Greetings From Tim Buckley, the film that stars Penn Badgley in the role of musician Jeff Buckley. The film was written by Dan Algrant, Emma Sheanshang and David Brendel, and Dan Algrant (Naked in New York) is directing. The film follows the true story of the days leading up to Jeff Buckley’s 1991 performance at a tribute concert for his father, who’d abandoned him. Poots plays a young woman who meets Jeff Buckley while working at the concert. They embark on a four-day journey that changes both their lives. Shooting begins next month. Poots recently starred in Cary Fukunaga’s Jane Eyre, and she’ll be at Comic-Con to promote the Craig Gillespie-directed remake Fright Night, which also stars Colin Farrell as the neighbor bloodsucker, and Anton Yelchin, Toni Collette, David Tennant and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. Poots is repped by CAA and Independent Talent.

that girl needs a name change asap
That name is what’s getting her roles, idiot.
I’m certainly intrigued because I really liked her in Jane Eyre. I actually wasn’t expecting her performance. This could be very good.
Will be glad for another chance to see Imogen Poots in action. She was interesting in Jane Eyre.

OK it is very nice of you to support a new actress but generally when posting under multiple aliases at one minute intervals, it is probably best to not do so with essentially the exact same comment (Jane Eyre…you don’t say!). Thanks for the afternoon laugh though!
smart move.
Really excited to see her finally flexing her acting chops.
Thank you for making an interesting choice… coming from Eyre and 28 Weeks Later, I’m actually excited to see her in this. Well played.
she’s also going to be in the sequel for pootie tang.
can’t wait for her new film Fright Night, hopefully it’ll get her some traction for this new role!
Or perhaps they thought their original coment hadn’t been posted so tried again??? Just a thought!
They’re actually letting the guy who made Naked in New York near a camera again? Why even bother to make the film, let’s just write the shitty reviews now.
