Harrison Ford, on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote his new movie Cowboys & Aliens, bumped into an old Star Wars friend. Judging by the decades worth of bottled-up rage, Solo probably regrets refusing an order to kill the Wookiee back in the day. Tonight’s episode of Kimmel was directed by Cowboys & Aliens director Jon Favreau.

Seems Ford is doing everything he can to keep his fans happy and his image fresh after everyone’s consensus that he barely even woke up to put on his Indy hat and play Henry Jones Jr. in “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”. People were pretty pissed that it looked like he phoned in that performance, and folks were vocal about it. Now it seems Ford’s publicist, Agent, and most importantly Harrison himself got the message. From “hip” internet interviews with Aint It Cool News to fun sit down interviews with director Jon Favreau, as well as the talk show circuit (anyone catch him on Letterman? Hilarious!), Harrison Ford seems poised to stay on everyone’s radar not out of sheer devotion to our fond memories of his best work (glory days?), but because he’s still got plenty of whip cracks, punches, and smirks left in him.
This was written by Jeff Loveness, Kimmel’s new 22 year old staff writer. Great stuff!
yeah really great…. buy him an icecream!
Ahhh that explains it…. What was funny about that skit?
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
yeah, not funny. and i really wanted to like it
the real chewee is taller!
The wookie got some nookie.
Somebody had to say it.
Great promo piece…but, alas, C&A is…at best…an okay film, and for many it may not even be ‘okay’.
Erm…What exactly WAS funny about that skit (apart from that terrible Chewie outfit?). There was a goldmine of potential jokes there and it was a completely wasted opportunity.
Agreed! Only laughs were in the beginning. “Air Force 1: 2. They take over the plane again. Good, I like it.”
Funny as all hell…
Ford’s the man.
I thought this skit was as good as Star Wars. I liked the concept of life outside of this planet but find the movie corny with goofy characters such as Chewbacca, Yoda and Darth Vader etc. Not to mention Jabba the Hut looks like a cross betwee a green maggot and a pile of Dookie, Thats right I said it. Albeit it is a great kids movie!
You couldn’t be more right on!
