Former Imagine Entertainment executive Jim Whitaker set up time lapse camera at Ground Zero to chart the physical recovery after 9/11 that could be sandwiched around a movie about the emotional healing of survivors of victims who perished in the terror attack on the World Trade Center. The result is
Rebirth, which Oscilloscope Laboratories will open August 26 in Los Angeles and August 31 in New York, on the eve of the 10 year anniversary. Showtime will broadcast it on September 11.

This looks amazing. Well done.
This is what a trailer is supposed to do, evoke an emotional response that makes you want to see the film. The film looks great. It is a shame it will likely go largely unseen.
I’ll see it. Looks great!
Thank you, Mr. Whitaker.
Jim, it looks fantastic. Goosebumps!! What an amazing way to tell the story again. Can’t wait to see the finished product, and help with your first weekend’s grosses.
Leni Riefenstahl would be proud… http://tinyurl.com/399wps
A 9/11 movie opening in LA first? Not cool OScope.
There must be time lapse of absolutely nothing happening at the site for many of these ten years. It’s good to see these people recovering, though.
There is always something going on when you shoot time lapse.
I saw this film last night at Pace University. I defy anyone to see this film and not be moved. It was a beautiful piece of work and should be seen by everyone.
Met with Whitaker years ago… classy guy. Glad someone still has the ability to make painfully powerful movies.
Will this go nationwide or do we have to go to LA or NYC to see it? It looks amazing. I want to see it and think others will want to as well.
The film will also be airing on Showtime on Sept. 11th.
Finally, a trailer that makes me want to go and see the film. I may actually go to the movies to be moved, instead of just finding a place to get some relief from the humidity for a couple hours.
The year 2001 should not be repeated
