EXCLUSIVE: Michael Westen is getting a potential new nemesis – Jere Burns has been tapped for a major recurring role on the hit USA series Burn Notice. In at least 5 and as many as 7 episodes this season, he will play Anson Fullerton, a brilliant but understated clinical psychologist whose specialties in human behavior and experience working with covert agents proves useful in answering many of Michael (Jeffrey Nonovan)’s still looming questions. As a psychologist for the Defense Intelligence Agency, Anson has high-level government clearance and security access. But when his wife is held hostage by a brutal criminal, Anson is forced to hand over his access codes to save her life and the team must work to rescue her before it’s too late. In addition to his gig this season, there is possibility for Burns to continue on the show next season. The actor, repped by Innovative and Trademark talent, has been recurring on both AMC’s Breaking Bad and FX’s Justified. He most recently co-starred on the NBC comedy pilot Family Practice this past season.

Kirk!
ALL THE BIG NAMES!!!
This show is so repetitive, stale and over and this casting just confirms that the shark has left the building.
His character of Wynn Duffy on Justified is a hilarious a-hole villain, I hope he shows up again next season!
Love him and love BN so really looking forward to his addition.
He makes such nice and calm looking sociopaths.
Good actor burn notice just got better
Jere Burns is as cool and fun to work with as he is to watch!!! Love him, so glad he is popping up on so many great shows making them all that much greater by his presence. Congrats Jere!
Any chance Burn Notice wraps it up this season? Regardless, I am done after this season.
I have been a fan of Jere Burns since ” Dear John “- good for him. He is very talented.
