• Joe Mazzello is so underrated and has been engaging and believable since he was a kid actor I wish more people would pay attention to his work.

• So far the new cast is shaping up really well. I grew up on this generation of Joes, so I’m hoping that this movie turns out better than the last one.

• Hmmm….as an 80s-kid and fan of the original ‘Real American Hero’ stories, my guess is ‘Mouse’ could be code for Tunnel Rat (who since his intro in the 80′s animated ‘G.I. Joe: The Movie’ has become quite popular with the fan-base)

  I hope the sequel proves to be a semi-reboot in this respect: With the success of ‘Captain America’, can we PLEASE bring back some assemblence of the original, pro-American source material?! How about the Theme song, for one. Second, lets have less-NATO, more U.S.-based character origins (for example, ‘Heavy Duty’ from the last movie was a Brit — a small detail but it matters to those familiar with the original counterpart)

• I was a big fan of the the GIJOE comic books and action figures, and I have no idea who Mouse is. Of all the characters to choose from, I’m puzzled at why they choose these lesser known ones.

• I think he’s an utterly wet, limp actor, actually. So sad, he had such potential when he was prepubescent – so this casting actually makes perfect sense, after his 3 line role in S. Network.

• My friends and I consider the first GI Joe to be one of the WORST films ever made. I mean, seriously, watch it and tell me it’s not an utter waste of time.

  I am shocked they are making a sequel.

• Now all they need to do is drop Adrienne Palicki and rewrite her part to bring Scarlett (Rachel Nichols) back. Especially since Channing Tatum is a non-entity of the Rosie Huntington-Whitely variety. Even in tentpole pictures, audiences want actual characters to care about — and for GI Joe, these ain’t it.
