My only question is whether Sylvester Stallone will have a cameo. Dredd will open on September 21, 2012 in wide release and in 3D. Starring Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby, Lena Headley, Wood Harris, it will be directed by Pete Travis from a script by Alex Garland. DNA Films and IM Global are producing with Andrew Macdonald, Allon Reich, and Alex Garland. “Dredd is a futuristic cop who combines the power of judge, jury and executioner in Mega City One, a massive city that stretches down the entire east coast of America.”

No more “reboots!” Stop it! Right now! Just cut it out!
I’m not effing around. No more!
Forget Stallone! I know I’m not the only one crossing my fingers for the triumphant return of Rob Schneider.
Can’t wait to watch Dredd get his ass kicked by a bunch of hobbits. Bad release date.
Yes, I read that wrong. Thought I saw December and not September. I don’t think Stallone would want to be associated with this movie. The old one was s disaster. I can’t see this one being much better. We’ll see.
Stallone and Danny Cannon all but killed Dredd so I’m really hoping this one is the resurrection and not the final nail.
why is it a bad release date
No. Just no! This is so wrong.
What’s the next reboot? “Captain America” (2011), because Chris Evans is too old?
C’mon, studio execs. Try being creative for once in your stupid pathetic lives.
snuck into an early screening of JD and tho i hated the first one this one is a thrill and a half!! ignore the haters!
You numb-nuts know that DREDD was a Legendary British comic character BEFORE Stallone starred in that Abortion, right?
The new movie will be NOTHING like the turd that came out in ’95.
Think of it this way…
Judge Dredd (95) = Batman & Robin.
DREDD (2012) = Batman Begins.
If there is ANY comic character deserving of a Proper Film Reboot it’s Judge Dredd.
I agree, a reboot is very much overdue. Although I would like to say that Dredd STILL IS a Legendary Comic Book Character, albeit getting on a bit in the comics (but still kicks ass in a big way).
I’m really looking forward to this & hope that the director can really capture the gritty hardness of ‘old stony face’ & doesnt cheese it up (at all !!!)
A good thing is that Karl Urban is a fan, so at least he is on side.
Cass Anderson looks hot too !!
