EXCLUSIVE: Scott Eastwood, the youngest son of actor/director Clint Eastwood, has been set for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, the John Luessenhop-directed franchise reboot that starts production this week in Louisiana. Eastwood will play the role of Carl, the male lead, and the deal calls for him to be part of what is envisioned as a trilogy. Lionsgate will distribute the film that’s being produced by Carl Mazzocone and exec produced by Avi Lerner and Mark Burg.
Eastwood has been acting mostly in indies, and recently completed the Charles Burmeister-directed Epic, the Jack Heller-directed Enter Nowhere and the Lawrence Roeck-directed Carmel. He has also played roles in films his father directed, Invictus, Gran Torino and Flags of Our Fathers. He’s repped by UTA and Joanne Horowitz Management.

The trades, et el need to stop being so specific about such deals as this that call for him to be part of a trilogy. The suspense is taken before even seeing the first reel.
Not to mention it ruins the writers vision and forces the studio to make what would have been unneeded changes.
Mistake. Leave franchise alone
Interesting that his deal is for a trilogy, while nothing was mentioned about that when Alexandra Daddario, the female lead, was cast.
I bet Eastwood really had to hustle-fight-n-claw his way to this role.
Am a little disappointed that Platinum Dunes wasn’t given the opportunity to keep working on the franchise… I think they have done an incredible job so far.
I couldn’t agree more, but still looking forward to this one. Love the cast so far.
He certainly looks like a star, so much like his father.
Why is Clint letting his son work with Carl Mazzicone? Talk about bottom feeding
JESUS! LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT ADAM’S APPLE!
nepotism
I look forward to seeing this film with Scott Eastwood playing the lead role. After seeing him in these other films, I am sure the film will be a success! He is one special actor!
