EXCLUSIVE: Ellen Hollman (Skateland) has landed the new female warrior role on Starz’s Spartacus, whose upcoming second season will be titled Spartacus: Vengance. Hollman will play the new regular role of Saxa, a beautiful, vicious, intelligent and fiercely passionate woman that could face any man and have a good chance of coming out the victor. She is a force to reckoned with, on the battlefield or in the bedroom.
Spartacus will hold a panel at Comic-Con this afternoon where the series will introduce to the Comic-Con crowd new star Liam McIntyre, joined by Comic-Con fave Lucy Lawless and other actors and producers from the Starz drama. Hollman’s TV credits consist mainly of guest spots on series, including In Plain Sight, Rules of Engagement and Medium.

YOUR GLADI-ASSES ARE ABOUT TO GET KICKED!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU DON’T BELIEVE ME? WATCH HER IN “ROAD HOUSE II – LAST SCENE. OUCH!!!!!!!!!

proposition joe: I agree that Starz needs to improve their shows, but they been in the original programming business for only five years. It will take some time. Showtime had some problems 15 or 10 years ago with their original programming. Now, look at Showtime today.
Starz show lousy movies!!! So, Toy Story 3 and Salt are lousy movies? Toy Story 3 won Best Animated Film last year at the Oscars. I think HBO is the best Pay TV channel, but I whether have Starz than Showtime when it comes to movies.
Spartacus is often hokey and thinks itself more clever than it is, but it’s not been silly up til now.
Hope this doesn’t signal the end of all that. Maybe someone thinks this will bring in more female viewers.
