Arsenio Hall seems to figure that a 17-year rest is long enough. Having quit his iconic late-night talk show in 1994, Hall was asked this afternoon during a PBS panel at TCA about an Ed Sullivan Comedy Special premiering Aug. 6 whether he’d consider making a comeback. “I’d have to change my name to Nick Cannon and live with Mariah (Carey),” he joked. “But I think it’s a perfect time for that personally. Give me a microphone. My son’s 11 and he can drive himself to school. I’m ready to host!” When a critic pressed if he was serious, Hall acknowledged, “It’s pretty crowded out there. I’m not sure if it’s too crowded for a 55-year-old guy to re-emerge, but if they give me a little daylight I’m gonna slide into it.”

He’s a great interviewer! He should do it! I havent watched late night tv since he left.
Give brotha Arsenio a chance. I applaud him for having Min. Farrakhan on. The networks gave Farrakhan is air time during the Million Man march. Nobody complained. The Million Man March gave black men our day in the sun. Where can you put one million people together and not a single arrest.
I remember Arsenio primarily for his inability, during his monologue, to have any comprehension when he had played the joke out. So he would milk it after the punch line (such as it was) for what seemed minutes, as he continued to laugh, and his audience fidgeted with boredom and embarrassment for the host.
Arsinio Hall was thee late night show to watch. I do not think that kind of iconic fire burns out. He had the ability to smoothy transition from, introducing new fresh musical artists, most who are now icons, to interviewing a brave Magic Johnson who announced he was HIV positive, at a time when that just was not done. Arsinio brought social change with his special brand of charm ,sincerity, and wit. We can use more of that now in these troubling times. For those who say he lost his show due to a contoversial interview, or worse because of an ego out of controol, maybe those people just had trouble seeing an African American Man , taking charge of medium he was gifted at. If Letterman or Leno had of done the same interview. No one woud have blinked an eye. I am ready for some Arsinio. I think others are too. He is a gift we dearly need ,to once again show us to move ahead with charm and humour.
Arsenio’s downfall in his career was when he started professing his love for The Nation of Islam. VERY DUMB.
I hope you do come back. You can’t please everyone but even after the Farrakhan interview you still had a following. We know ratings count. Do your homework stay humble . The world needs you.
We are waiting for you.
Louis Farrakan wasnt the best idea to have on his show. But what i fail to understand why these whites are complaining about him. When they have racist cracker fest night every night with Sean (they know we all hate blacks)Hannity,Rush(the viagra queen of racism) Limbaugh. And the other talking heads in the racist realm. He isnt a racist just made a mistake
Controversial interviews are happening all the time now.
If you are telling me that people are still hurt by
an interview Arsenio did almost two decades ago, I wonder
if your television ever comes on! If any talk show host
has someone on that you don’t like, I got a suggestion
for you, don’t watch it! Arsenio, its your time!
THINGS THAT MAKE YOU SAY “HHMMMMM”!!!
I think It would be Great for Arsenio to make come back……..Give the Man his Show!!!! Age doesn’t matter, If your Good your Good!….at the age of 35 or 55! I’d watch!!!! The good just get better. He deserves it!!!
I would love for Arsenio Hall to grace us with his entertainment once again. Not only is he a great comedian, (loved him in Harlem Nights)hard worker, devoted host & a pleasure to watch…he’s a legend who deserves a comeback if he so desires.
Bravo to you Arsenio. I hope to see you back on the air very soon!
Thank you for being you.

I remember watching his show every night with my sisters. He always had some of the most popular guest on. He did have a big ego but i think everyone on tv does. One thing i did like is that he always talked about his hometown of cleveland. Ego or not he didnt forget were he came from like most others in hollywood. Give him a show i would watch and if it stinks i would not watch again.
I was a huge fan of Arsenio Hall. It’s been so long that I had completely forgotten about him. I saw hime back on the Apprentice remembered all the crazy cool interviews he had on his show. Clinton who never inhaled and Vanilla Ice’s comments about mc hammer hahahaha..
I hope with all my soul and heart that he will come back hosting on tv.. I think America could use Arsenio Hall right now. Big time.
Much love,
Cheers
I truly believe it’s time for Mr. Hall’s return. He knows how to make comedy so cool and funny at the same time. Come on back soon man……!
Best wishes Sir,
Reco
Bring back Arsenio Hall. He is super funny and would be a great host for any show. Arsenio Hall would be great to host Match Game 2012 and bring it back to local T.V. like it used to be. That was one of the funniest and great game shows. Also Hollywood Squares is a good game show. Why do all of our great game shows and comedy shows from our past have to go into oblivion. Bring Back Arsenio!
PLEASE PLEASE Bring his show back I’m sure ratings would be great fabulous
I don’t recall too much about Arsenios’ show but being of nubian descent I will say that it brought about a much needed dynamic to late night TV. Not being a fan of Farrakhan I thought it was good of Aresenio to interview him because to me that’s what you’re suppose to do, think outside the box. Now that I’m in my 40′s I honestly don’t watch late night because it’s simply too “white”. I tried Letterman when he made the switch from NBC but became tired of his antics. This country is a melting pot laced with talent and not to sound like some of the obvious bigots on this thread the most you get with Letterman, Leno, and I forget the others is basic run of the mill caucasins interviewing caucasins. This is why there’s a need for change as there’s something definitely missing. Not only was Arsenio cool, he was natural.
The one problem is that Arsenio’s 55 so one would have to wonder what audience he’d draw and how successful would he be in attracting the “youngsters” as other than seeing him on the Apprentice many may not know a lot about him. Young nubians would welcome him initially as he’d interview people they’re familiar with so they may be motivated to wait up late for the interview. This would help ratings. His show would have to center on interviews that are a lot more inclusive than the other hosts, which is the one thing that made him successful in the past. He definitely knew how to make the interviews fun and worth staying up for. I’m sure he could get the President, Oprah, and maybe a few others to kick it off but what happens after the dust settles.
Either way I’d watch if he came back
Witlessness!!!
That’s all I can say about the Haters…
HURRY HURRY BACK ARSENIO ILL BE WATCHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
