CBS today released its first key art for the upcoming ninth season of Two and a Half Men featuring new star Ashton Kutcher. The series’ producer Warner Bros. TV simultaneously unveiled a billboard with the same photo and a slightly tweaked tagline: “09.19.11, All Will Be Revealed.” The poster comes on the heels of Kutcher’s predecessor on Men, Charlie Sheen, announcing his new TV series, Anger Management, which is yet to secure a writer or a network.

The only “logical” way for Kutcher to buy the house and inherit Cryer & son is for Evelyn Harper (Holland Taylor) to have a quickie marriage and Ashton is the (new) stepbrother.
I thought the same. It keeps the same odd couple premise only with step brothers instead of blood brothers.
Or he buys the house but Cryer and the kid haven’t moved out yet and they play on his heartstrings to let them stay……

The best and funniest explanation is: NO EXPLANATION. Just have him play the role, same name, none of the other characters notice, a few jibes here and there (ala Bewitched). The eternal running gag. But I’m sure he’ll be a funny uncle or some other foolish concept.

Cryer has always been the true star of this show – and he’s got the Emmy to prove it. Sheen will quickly become a faint memory. (Can’t wait to see how they kill him off….). Kutcher will be a good addition – he’s funny. The rest of the cast will continue to shine. All power to them. Charlie will soon learn that he is indeed replaceable. Sheen = LOSING!
