EXCLUSIVE: Army Wives star Catherine Bell is set to headline the TNT movie Good Morning, Killer, an adaptation of April Smith’s novel. The thriller follows FBI Special Agent Ana Gray (Bell) as she hunts for a kidnapper. It is the latest entry in the network’s recently announced new TNT Tuesday Night Mystery movie franchise slated to launch in November that will feature six contemporary crime dramas, from true-crime stories to fictional mysteries. And I have heard that at least some some of the movies, including Good Morning, Killer, are being eyed as potential backdoor pilots that could spawn TV series as the actors deals for them include series options. The contracts of the cast members of Army Wives, including Bell, are up after the upcoming sixth season. Smith adapted her book to the small screen. She also is executive producing the movie with Frank von Zerneck (We Were the Mulvaneys). Bell, repped by Gersh and Brillstein, previously starred on CBS’ JAG.

Catherine Bell in a “back door” pilot? Set the DVR!!!
Sounds like a winner. Bell is an honest to God tv star and people will at least sample anything she does. She also has made good choices. Besides, Army Wives is pretty much played out.
The way Army Wives ended season five led me to think season 6 would be the last, which is not a terrible thing. Series should have a finite life (no matter how much we enjoy them) and Wives is reaching a point where the stories are stretching credibility even for television.
I would agree with your assessment of Bell. She made JAG watchable and I’ve even enjoyed those overly melodramatic “Good Witch” movies she does for Hallmark. Based on this book’s description it sounds like an interesting movie and something a little different for Bell.

She’s also a total pro. A generous, quiet, focused and kind person to work with. There was a LOT of drama on the JAG set for years, and she always managed to stay out of it and keep her cool. This woman deserve her success.
I’d watch Bell in anything – she’s a lovely actress – even the ‘Good Witch’ movies are watchable just for her.

This is great news. CB is a wonderful actress. I love anything she does. It will be great to see her in this film/serie. Can’t wait. She is a dadicated actress an can do anything. I just hope we will be able to see the film/ serie here

catherine is one actress i make a point of watching in any project which is not easy in canada. just caught last man standing onloine and loved it…would make a great series as well.
would love to see her again in an action role as she is a good enough athlete to carry it off unlike most actesses who seem to get these roles.

It is refreshing to have clean family movies like the GW movies. CB was also in Last Man Standing and rocked that role. Whatever project CB stars in will be GOLD-Go TNT for having the smarts to getting this ultra talented actress!!
I loved Jag from begining to end and have seen every episode atleast 4 or 5 times, however there was a time when Jag was getting a little Predictable and Mundane until the show Intreduced Catherine Bell I believe that even though the main star was David J Elliot Catherine Bell might have saved the show that she might be the reason the show lasted 10 yrs. as far as the other things she has done I’ve seen all but the lst Good Witch movie and loved her in the ones I did see and I cant wait to see The Good Witch’s Family. I’ve seen her in Good Morning,Killer and thought that Catherine Bell was great,as far as Last Man Standing I’ve yet to see that but I have seen every Episode of Army Wives and I have to agree with everybody else and Proclaim that I will watch anything that Catherine Bell is in.
