The first movie is set for 2014 and looks inside the human mind. Directed by Peter Docter, the Academy Award-winning director of Up, the new Pixar toon is just starting its designs and sets and anticipating castings. The other movie is about dinosaurs set sometime in the future. Director Bob Peterson was inspired by his childhood visit to the 1964 New York
World’s Fair, where he saw animatronic dinosaurs. Disney made today’s announcements to 4,200 fans at the Anaheim Convention Center as part of its D23 Expo this weekend that brings all things “Disney” under one roof: Parks & Resorts, Consumer Products, Media Networks, and of course the Studio. D23 is the first official Disney fan club, and the expo takes place every other year. This year’s arena presentation was hosted by Walt Disney Studios Chairman Rich Ross and featured John Lasseter from Pixar, Kevin Feige from Marvel, Sean Bailey from Walt Disney Studios and talent from upcoming films from animation, Marvel, and Disney live action. More details and interviews later today.

Did Pixar give any storytelling tips?
It’s no coincidence Pixar have agreed to end their long boycott of the Annie awards this year. I am a 26 years old nurse, young and beautiful. Now I am seeking an older gentle man who can give me real love , so i got a username Annababe2011 on—a’ge’l'es’s'da’te. C óM—it is the first and best club for y’ounger women and older men, or older women and younger men,to int’eract with each other. Maybe you wanna ch’eck it out or tell your friends.
No Cars 3?
Seriously, though, I wouldn’t mind seeing The Incredibles 2 – that’s a movie that could lend itself to multiple sequels. But between Cars and Monsters, I guess Pixar’s sequeled out for now.
I AGREE THERE SHOULD BE SEQUEL TO THE INCREDIBLES,THAT MOVIE ROCKED AND IT LEFT OFF SHOWING ALL THERE POWERS AS WELL AS THE BABY.COME ON START WRITING A SCRIPT I NO IT WILL BE A HIT BECAUSE SO MANY PEOPLE TALKED ABOUT WHEN IT CAME OUT.WHEN PEOPLE SAY REMEMBER THAT PART WHEN HE YELLED ECHO.WHEN PEOPLE TALK LIKE THAT THE WANT YOU GUYS TO GO “HEY THAT KID IS RIGHT”.
I’m assuming these films don’t have titles yet, right? But are these the two Pixar flicks that already have release dates?
Pixar is making 2 new movies?
Ahhhhh. Life is good again…
That’s aside from Brave and Monster’s University, so they’re continuing their pace of about a film a year.
Just want to know when The Muppet Show S4 & S5 will be coming out on DVD?
Please make Incredibles 2!
I hope they can move away from the schmaltz of Up and Toy Story 3. My kids disliked both even more than I did, and as a result they had zero interest in Cars 2 and we gave it a miss.
It’s no coincidence Pixar have agreed to end their long boycott of the Annie awards this year. They know Cars 2 has no shot at an Oscar so they’re going for what they hope will be a slam-dunk animation award.
At least the 2 announced features aren’t sequels.
That “schmaltz” pays the bills and a whole lot more, including stockholders. Besides everyone needs a little schmaltz in their life. I found Up and Toy Story two of the best Pixar movies in a long long time, and the box office wasn’t too bad either.
Since when does box office equate with quality? Since never, as has been discussed on this site ad nauseum. I didn’t say the movies weren’t solid earners, I said they were lousy, and boring for kids.
None of my kid’s friends like Up or Toy Story 3 either, but their parents loved them. Also, almost none of the kids we know even bothered with Cars 2, and those that did weren’t impressed.
Okay, so your kids didn’t like them. Who cares? Do these movies have to be for kids just because they’re animated?
Are you crazy?!? Up was a very entertaining and Toy Story was suprisingly moving. The are the two best films from pixar.
1. Up
2.Toy Story 3
3. Toy story 2
4. Wall-E
5. Toy Story
6. Finding Nemo
7. Monsters Inc.
8. The Incredibles
Never seen: Cars, Cars 2, A Bug’s Life
All the pixar movies are great! Its a shame you dont like them.
Hey Pixar superfan Jack: you forgot Ratatouille, which was great. Up and Toy Story 3 were maudlin treacle made for the adults, not the kids.
Do we really need to establish Pixar bona fides in order to criticize? I have unreserved love for everything they did up to Wall-E, but Toy Story 3 and Up were abominations, maudlin treacle to make the parents cry, and my kids didn’t want to see Cars 2.
I think we can also move beyond the dated ‘critically acclaimed’ view of movies, as that has no bearing on actual quality.
Stop being “that guy,” Joe. We get it. You’re all cool and ironic because you don’t like two great Pixar movies. You and your kids and complain all you want about them in Silver Lake wearing skinny jeans. Nobody cares.
The “schmaltz” which were both two of the best (and critically acclaimed) movies of their respective years? I dunno how a person could ever dislike Toy Story 3.
Your kids are also in the minority on this.
Pixar is God. Don’t u dare suggest that every single movie they ever made was not perfect in every way. And stop highlighting the fact that their goal is to sell lunch boxes and not great stories. You people and your being in touch with reality makes me sick. Shame on u!
Incredibles 2 – Pixar we are waiting!
Everyone of Pixar’s movies are great! None, have sad or really depressing moments in them like most other kids movies/cartoons which is why it is so easy to watch them over and over again. For some reason, it seemed animators back in the day thought that one of the main characters (which was usually a child) had to have one of their parents or friends die. So it was never fun to watch it again because I always knew I was going to be sad and depressed part of the way through the movie. Anyway I’m a big fan of their work as are my children and we love watching their movies. Thanks Pixar!
please make up 2 and maybe wall-e 2
