That’s a great teaser, well done.
I saw him in How To Succeed and was surprised by his strong performance. If the movie is as good as the trailer perhaps Mr. Radcliffe can be the serious answer to Shia Labouf
These horror films are all the same to me… especially the haunted house types. Always some random child’s voice, pictures with the eyes or face scratched out, doors opening/closing… they’re all the same.
Except THIS one is a costume version. Wow, how original.
OK, go ahead and give me a fully fleshed out plot for an ORIGINAL horror film.
Okay, Peter Rabbit sneaks into Mr. McGregor’s garden, and then discovers that a ghost from the future–a teenage girl who got killed outside a rock and roll club–has organized the snakes and is about to attack and kill Mr. McGregor’s whole family, so Peter and Mr. McGregor have to WORK TOGETHER to fight off the snakes and protect the young girl’s soul so she can find redemption instead of damnation.
is that you diablo cody?
ok, that comment almost made me choke on my lunch.
People who randomly shoot out negativity, sh#tting on the work of people who are actually out in the world Doing something — add absolutely nothing to the world, or to the conversation.
So you hate horror movies — No One Cares.
I just got chills. Harry Potter is all grown up and starring in a real (scary looking) movie.
That music box is creeeeeepy!
The play is wonderfully creepy and this trailer seems to capture that. I actually want to see this now.
I so cannot wait for this movie! This is by far one of the best trailers of the year! After seeing so many dismal trailers recently, this is one that is extremely well-done and does the job that trailers are supposed to do: make me WANT to see more!
That’s a really strong piece. CBS Films coming up.
I hope CBS Films’ gets this right. This film may finally put them on the right track. Maybe a couple more solid genre pics to move them along; new execs aside. If not, please chalk it up to the name “CBS Films” which moviegoers have yet to take seriously as a studio force because its namesake is too closely tied to “television.”
Agree, Moonves needs to find a new name for it, one that doesn’t have the name of a television network in it.
agreed. it screams tv movie of the week to me.
yup. new blood seems to be doing good work. will take a while but these guys will be contenders
Agreed. Happy to see that place turn around. This is as good a spot as any of the majors could have done.
Laughable to see how behind the curve CBS Films continues to be…same elements this trailer touts are in like five films over the next few months, impossible to fathom audience caring by the Feb date of yet another dead-on-arrival box office dud from the new Team Wolfgang. Also by the way–horror audience is sure to laugh at Harry Potter in this genre.
As the horror audience just cares about the scary part. They don’t care who’s the lead. This is a great strategy to bring horror and thrillers to a wider public, many of whom will go see the picture just because “Harry Potter” (who is killing it on Broadway and is an esteemed and very well regarded actor in the industry) is in it.
Looks brilliant – smart, scary and interesting.
This looks quite good. I’m looking forward to seeing Daniel R. “all grown up” (as someone said) and in a real adult role. He LOOKS amazing! VERY handsome! And in a time of blood/gore/multi-SAW/Destination 23 I really don’t know how anyone can say that this piece isn’t “original”, especially on the basis of its trailer. So pipe down, please. Some of us are actually interested in seeing how this develops instead of cutting it off at the knees.
But why isn’t there a Hammer logo up front? This is still a Hammer film, right? The Hammer logo would have seemed way more appropriate with what follows than just “CBS Films.” (Not that I don’t think CBS Films should get credit for their acquisitions, but the name hardly conjures chills…)
That gripe aside, this is one creepy trailer. Looks like the film will deliver genuine scares!
The UK version of the trailer has Hammer up front.
You owe it to yourself to see this movie if you’re a Hammer horror fan.
Gimme a break…no real horror fans want to look at Daniel Radcliffe instead of a sexy woman in jeopardy. CBS needs to be schooled on the demands of genre, before they attempt releasing films again.
The play has been running on stage for more than 20 years, it’s very well done. Needless to say it has appeal beyond the usual horror fans if they market well.
I despise gross out/torture porn horror films and this is about as far from that as you can get. Looking forward to it!
Almost seems kind of cliche with the dillapited old house that seems like a paraody of the one at Disneyland.
Subtle much?
Looks horrid. Like GF said, no one wants to look at Harry Potter when it easily could star a sexy woman.
I”d much rather see Daniel Radcliffe’s handsome face than some chick, however gorgeous she is. I don’t like horror films in general, but it’s not some slasher film, thank God, and seems to be more like The Others or theChangeling
