Leah Remini today broke her silence about her pending departure from the CBS’ daytime talk show The Talk. “It’s official: I am sorry to say that I have NOT been asked back on the show,” Remini wrote on Twitter. As we first reported, CBS was not picking up the options of Remini and fellow co-host Holly Robinson Peete. CBS has already moved on to tap comedian/conservative radio host Sheryl Underwood as a new co-host and Kris Jenner as a guest co-host, who will fill in for Sharon Osbourne when she takes time off this fall. Remini went on to say that “no reason was given” for her ouster and addressed fellow co-host Robinson Peete who she said “hasn’t heard anything yet,” something Robinson Peete herself confirmed on Twitter. “Holly, I have LOVED working with you,” she wrote. “You are the real deal… Hang in there.”
There had been a lot of speculation about behind-the-scenes tension at the daytime talk show, which had a very strong July ratings-wise, especially when it comes to Remini, Robinson Peete and Osbourne’s interactions with co-host Julie Chen. Remini hinted at potential problems when she tweeted, “I would work with Holly and Mrs. O any day,” leaving out Chen as well as the show’s creator/co-host Sara Gilbert.

I loved the cast as they were. I turned on the show today and definitely will NOT be watching with the new cast.
THE ONLY reason I watched THE TALK was because of Leah. I DVR it everyday, not anymore!!!!!
Leah and Holly, made, the Talk! They were why I decided to start watching it. Sharon is also pretty funny. Julie did grow on me some and seemingly started to loosen up, but I guess perhaps it was just an act? Maybe she didn’t get enough props? Maybe Leah and Holly wanted more money (which they definitely deserved)! Whatever the reasons, its stupid, when they made such a great Quintet! Its already off the DVR daily recordings, but maybe I’ll watch it for Stevie Nicks and the occasional great Guest(s), otherwise, another hour freed for making my own entertainment, I guess??? I will miss you both and am soooooo po’d!!
I agree, Leah and Holly were great, ( they were the best part of the show) that’s probably why they werent asked back. I wont be watching the show anymore because these two ladies are what brought me to the show in the first place. Even though I like Julie Chen she just wasnt as interesting as were Leah and Holly and we all know why she still has her job. i will really miss seeing these two wonderful ladies.
I loved how Leah’s sense of humor LIFTED the show, no matter how bazaar Sarah felt it might have been. I am really TIRED of Sarah’s BORING, VEGAN, no real toys for her kids… BLAH BLAH BLAH.. Why is she even on the show… co creator..SAD very SAD!. I was starting to really love Julie too. She loosened up and was funny too. Well I guess if your husband runs the joint…

Well-said! I have zero interest in continuing watching the show. Have been a fan since the beginning. If there were tensions between the co-hosts, they should have been adults and sat down to discuss their issues. After all the show the ladies host is called “The Talk.” If they were able to discuss other people’s issues or society’s issues on their show, these ladies should be able to sit down privately and discuss their dislikes or concerns with one another. Won’t be surprised if the show is cancelled within a season or two..

I only watched one episode, Rimini totally berated Sara Gilbert for being boring. She was right.
Leah was great on KIng of Queens. I don’t understand how anybody can say that. The show would have been nothing without her.
Leah’s talent is a waste on the likes of Julie Chen & Sara Gilbert, neither one of them has a sense of humor or much of a personality for that matter!! Sharon Osborn is ok when she,s there that is. Huge mistake we won’t be watching anymore. Holly bought so much reality to the talk her grace and knowledge were a joy to see everyday, another huge mistake if they don’t get her back!
I’ll try one more time. It’s a wierd combination on that show. Julie Chen doesn’t really belong. I hope Leah and Holly get their own show. They’re hot.
Sarah IS BORING> She says nothing. I watched the show everyday for 2 months! The first episode to about Mid March. Sarah was the worse. She put me asleep. Holly came across the best. Leah as bull in a China Shop but “SHE WAS FUNNY”. Leah made the show worth watching. Julie was OK not bad but just ok. Mrs O love her! The show will still abe a bore is they keep Ms Gilbert. I know she is th co-creator or what have you but someone like her should not be on the air unless she is selling sleeping pills.

Why is Leah Rimini not on a sitcom? 9 years on King of Queens? I would think TV Land could easily find a multi cam for her…bizarre to waste her on day time with Pre-awareness like that.
Can’t understand why no network has picked up Leah Remini. She was great on King of Queen’s….still watch the re-runs! She is so smart and hilarious. She should start her own talk show! It would def be a big hit! Sara Gilbert needs to go….she should be behind the scenes…..too boring, no personality….they should have axed her instead of Leah on The Talk!!

I did not watch much when it first aired, but now I Love it! It’s because Leah is so Funny!
I will say that sometimes she is a bit too loud, and does berate Sara, and that’s not right, but if she leaves the show is not going to make it!
I have enjoyed this show. I liked the interaction. With these changes, I will take it off my DVR schedule and no longer watch it.

I have to say if it was so unbearable to work with their co-hosts, why are they waiting on pins and needles if they’ll be asked back?
The problems are with Julie Chen. Period. Everyone who works over at Radford knows she is the problem and she always gets people fired when she gets upstaged. She must have used the same liver that the woman in Marty Funkhauser’s joke did because that’s the only way I could see Leslie continuing to put up with her.
I agree that Sarah is boring. Her attempts at interviewing are uncomfortable. She’s clearly not suited for the format of The Talk. Julie, I can take or leave. As for the announced replacements, I don’t know who the comedian is and Kris K. is unbearable. If they had to replace Holly and Leah, you’d think they could do better than that. Would love to know the reasons for the changes.
If Leah and Holly leave the show I will stop watching. Those two breathe life into an otherwise boring show. Sara is a snoozer, Julie is a know-it-all, and I love Mrs. O but when sh takes a leave of a sense, that will be signing The Talks death certificate. WRONG MOVE, CBS!!!!

She lets get real. 2 weeks from now they are Re-launching “The Talk” only it’s a whole new show. I love Sarah forever and I appreciate the “I’m a very smart lesbian” thing she works, but even the tone of her voice gives away the secret that she has no confidence at all and when she ask a question she sounds like she feels as if she is terribly inconveniencing the guest. Beyond annoying. She needs to be behind the scenes where most creator/producers stay. This isn’t her gig. I would still love to about getting rid of Marissa before the second show aired. Is it all Julie’s EGO?

Sara has to come back. She “created” the show and it’s probably in her contract. Julie will be hosting Big Brother for another 30 seasons. Thanks to her hubby, she will always be in CBS. Take Sharon off! She isn’t American. It’s unpatriotic to keep her there! Why doesn’t she go back to the UK where she belongs? Leah and Holly WERE the ONLY reasons I watched. WIll NEVER watch again! Now, it’s just a joke…and not in a good way!
I worked on King of Queens and must say that Remini was a PLEASURE to have around. She was fun, caring, and treated everyone with respect. Feisty? yes! she’s from Brroklyn! But how refreshing, right? I would choose to work with her any day over the BOT… Seems like Chen was desparatey trying to aquire a personalty by mimicking Remini througout the season. Good luck there, Jules… personalities are for REAL people. Apparantly common sense on host choices escapes you too. Goodbye CBS.
I am always amazed at the people who make comments and no NOTHING about what really went on. From everything I SAW, Leah is one of the nicest,kindest, loyal people I know. She was a DREAM to be around and I am willing to challenge anyone to find a crew member that doesn’t agree! She is a favorite of everyone.
The chenbot has NOTHING but bad rumors swirling about her as to how she treats her crew badly and if you merely search her name you will find her mentioned in connection to other people being fired.
Did I say…Tyrant!….not me…..I WILL NOT watch what was a really good show, now that Holly and Leah have been replaced. I’d rather watch paint dry!
If Remini, Robinson Peete still want a talk show they should go over to Oprahs network. Nothing there is interesting. And I don’t think the Rosie show will last long because she seems to have a problem that everyone in the world has to agree with her on everything. I am waiting till she tells Oprah off.
I was not a fan of The Talk because I liked the soap opera that was on before it. Now it seems it was like a soap opera behind the scenes of the Talk. I must be one of the few that like Julie Chen. Sheryl Underwood is funny and it sounds like Ms Jenner is just a fill in and if she doesn’t work out she will be out the door.
Nice….get rid of the smart ones that actually added something to the program…..smart CBS…..smart.
