EXCLUSIVE: Actor Rob Riggle has inked a development deal with HBO. Under the pact, Riggle has come on board to help develop and star in Lifestyle Lemonaid, a comedy project based on LifestyleLemonaid.com, Nikki Joel’s tell-all blog about her marriage to top WME talent agent Brandt Joel. HBO bought the project, which is being written by Jordon Nardino (Desperate Housewives), last summer. HBO fixtures Mark Wahlberg and Steve Levinson are executive producing. On her blog, Nikki Joel regularly shares her husband’s most intimate details. The time he wanted to have a vasectomy … the time she caught him masturbating in the middle of the night during an earthquake … the time he erased all her TiVo-ed shows because he was pissed she’d gone out three nights in a row without him … Riggle will play the husband (who is not expected to be an agent) on the show, which is slated to do a table read. Under Riggle’s deal, if Lifestyle Lemonaid does not go to series, HBO will develop other projects for him. Lifestyle Lemonade extends former Daily Show correspondent’s relationship with Wahlberg and Levinson. This past development season, Riggle starred in Wahlberg and Levinson’s first broadcast pilot, CBS’ comedy Home Game. That casting in turn stemmed from Riggle and Wahlberg’s work together in the feature comedy The Other Guys. Riggle, repped by CAA and Principato Young, recently wrapped 21 Jump Street and also has Everybody Loves Whales in the can.

There is no better time to masturbate than during an earthquake.
Casting is kind of perfect
Rob Riggle makes Horatio Sands seem talented. Kudos, HBO, for developing ANOTHER FAILURE!
Why I don’t agree with the sentiment, I love the Horatio reference. He is my go-to at the bottom of the barrel as well.
Nicely played sir.
I absolutely LOVED this script.
Riggle isn’t funny. He’s just loud.
Nice dentures!
This looks great. I just hope that the masturbation occurs under a doorway.
I love Rob Riggles. Can’t wait to see him in BOONDOGGLE
but why another showbiz sitcom from HBO?
Riggle is hilarious as a supporting actor. It’s going to be interesting to see how he can carry a show.
Riggle is lined up along with Thomas Lennon for The Boondoggle. I think Steve Carr is directing. He’s an awesome actor and I’m glad people are finally taking notice.
RR OWNED Step Brothers. BAM! BAM! LMAO. He’s an intense ball of awesome!
Riggle steals the show in every feature he’s in. Hangover; outrageous. Step Brothers; BAM! He was MAGNIFICENT. Anything he’s in is total awesomeness.
Read The Boondoggle. It is gonna be SO FREAKIN’ FUNNY!
Just googled The Boondoggle. Rob Riggle, Thomas Lennon, and Steve Carr! WowZerZ. Nice. This is better than Bacon and Ice-cream!
Boondoggle script was decent. I could see it being the next Hangover, but if executed wrong i can also see it going straight to video.
I’ve worked with Nardino. Super intelligent and a fantastic writer.
Ha Ha! Lemonade lifestyle. Agents and their Dirty Laundary. Hope its funny though. When Ari was goin through drama during latest season of Entourage, it was just depressing.
Loved the script. Hate the website. It’s good to see Rob getting bigger roles. Can’t wait to see him starring alongside Lennon in Boondoggle. Lets see if this Lemonade can stay afloat.
@ mbesser: Another Failure? At HBO? Really? C’mon…
Rob Riggle is one funny dude. I haven’t read the script, but the blog looks wide open for material on the funny side. This show looks like a winner to me.
I hear his reps are taking contractor bids to rebuild the burned bridge at Comedy Central.
Another adventure in Hollywood disappearing up its own ass.
Will Riggle’s character also be unable to sign A list talent?
He did not steal that film… But thanks for trying to rewrite history!
I love Riggle, but Wahlberg producing HBO comedies makes me vomit.
