Will and Grace star Sean Hayes told critics during an afternoon panel for the new NBC seriocomic fantasy hour Grimm that he’s considering taking a role in the show where he serves as an exec producer. After one of his production partners let it slip, a critic pressed Hayes. The actor, who earlier in the day signed a development deal with the network to headline a half-hour series, downplayed the Grimm role with a vague acknowledgement. “It’s possible down the road,” he said without giving any hint of what form the role might take. “It’s nothing imminent.”
Discussing the potential darkness of the Grimm concept, series regular Silas Weir Mitchell cautioned that it won’t be anything close to, say, the notorious and disturbing 19th century German children’s book Der Struwwelpeter and the musical it spawned, Shockheaded Peter. “There’s a story in there about a little boy who’s a thumbsucker,” Mitchell said. “People told him, ‘Don’t suck your thumb, or Mr. Cut Your Thumb Off Guy is going to coming running through the door.’ And the kid is like, ‘Yeah, OK, whatever.’ So the kid sucks his thumb, and this guy runs in and chops this kid’s thumbs straight off, and they’re just bleeding all over. The final image is this cute little kid holding his hands up with no thumbs and blood pouring out. Kinda creepy. But we’re not going to do that.”

NBC’s Grimm looks horrible. Once Upon a Time looks much better and interesting than this.
unfortunately they’re both not good, but hard to say which is actually worse. GRIMM seems to have made a choice to go with a cast of non-actors and ONCE UPON A TIME looks like a high school production.
Oh really…non-actors? Hmmm…. and who are you to know who “real actors” are? Just curious.
GRIMM is one of the BEST pilots I’ve seen so far.
I saw Grim at Comic-con and people LOVED it (Including me). Grimm, Terranova and Alctraz looking forward to the most
You must work on Once Upon A Time because that’s the first i’ve ever heard that sentiment.
WRONG: There have been some critics who liked the pilot. As well as several who hated the pilot. So, you’re completely ignorant and haven’t looked at Twitter.

“‘Once Upon a Time’
Ryan: Watch It
I have no idea how this magic-infused show will work beyond its high-concept pilot and whether it’ll be able to balance the tones of fantasy and character-driven drama, but I have to admit: I found this offering from ‘Lost’ writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz enchanting.”"
And that’s not the only review that is positive.
Lol really? And if you click your own link you’ll see that Ryan was the only one of the five critics who said ‘Watch it.’ Congrats on combing Google for a ‘positive’ review from……AOL TV.
IT IS TIME FOR A COMEDY WITH SEAN OR FUNNY DRAMA.
I would prefer to see Sean on the hit comedy “Hot in Cleveland” which he also produces. Much rather see him yuk it up with Betty White than run around with Little Red Riding Hood!
Seriously? Saw the pilot at Comic Con and it was laughably awful. It doesn’t match NBC’s brand at all and I don’t see it lasting more than a few episodes. However, I could see it working at Syfy….
Hmmm interesting cuz I saw the pilot at Comic-Con too and the vast majority flipped for it. But I guess there’s always Jersey Shore for the likes of yourself.
Don’t get to excited about this she. Seems ole nbc has a habbit of killing shows people like. Like the event and heroes im realu torn with this one cause I would like to watch it but I don’t think I could bear them cutting another show that rolls actulu follow. Why does this happen
I have serious doubts that this show will last a season. It would be nice to see something this off-beat make it, however, like someone else already wrote, NBC tends to kill off the outside-the-box type shows before they can really take root. Why NBC keeps green-lighting shows that are off-beat and then canceling them is the bigger mystery. Should have gone to cable.
Can’t wait to see Grimm. Sounds intriguing and heard that it is going to be a great new series.
