TNT has renewed its light caper drama Leverage for a fifth season with a 15-episode order. Season 5 will launch next summer. The series, starring Timothy Hutton as the leader of a gang of grifters, hackers and thieves out to settle scores against the rich and powerful, will wrap its summer run Aug. 28 and return with the conclusion of its fourth season in November.
Leverage is the latest TNT series to be renewed this summer following the recent pickups of Rizzoli & Isles, Falling Skies and Franklin & Bash. Men of a Certain Age has been canclled and there is still no word on Hawthorne and Memphis Beat. Leverage premiered in 2008 and has grown its audience each of its four seasons. This summer, it has averaged 4.8 million viewers, up 10% over Season 3, with 1.9 million adults 18-49 (+6%). Leverage is produced by Dean Devlin’s Electric Entertainment, with Dean Devlin and creators John Rogers and Chris Downey serving as executive producers.

I am so excited about the fifth season. Leverage has an excellent cast. Timothy Hutton has been a classy actor with much talent and very underrated.

I think Leverage is one of the few hour-long shows on cable you can pretty much enjoy whenever you start watching. Which is why the ratings continue to grow.
I am glad that it is coming back for another season. It reminds me of the A-Team, and I like the way the characters work together.
It is great to see Timothy Hutton regularly on TV, and I hope that the series continues.

I could only endure a few episodes of the first season. Hutton deserves so much better than this tripe.

so nice to hear from timothy hutton’s ENTIRE PR firm…a little obvious you think…On another note, please put Hawthorn out of it’s misery. This was a case of michael wright buying a “famous’ name to further his career instead of a good show based on a different,fresh concept.
Leverage is an underrated show. For a basic cable series with no studio backing I’ve been impressed with the quality, and I was a naysayer at the beginning.
The directing is by far the weakest part of this series, but what it lacks in originality is more than made up for by good writing and a terrific cast.
It’s nice to see shows like this that don’t knock the walls down ratings-wise get a shot to motor along season after season, keeping its fans happy and apparently bringing in new ones. Well done TNT.
The only complaint I have, is the faux digital look of the the show. The color palette seems so unnatural.

I’m sad to see this season come to a close. Oh, well.
I am really puzzled as to why it matters to non-fans [myyynde] whether or not Leverage stays on the air…? I am no fan of Jersey Shore, but I honestly don’t care how long it stays on television. It could stay on three more months or three more decades, I couldn’t care less.
But soooo glad to see Leverage coming back! I always get worried when a favorite show goes on hiatus.
Only recently got the chance to catch up with this show. I look forward to next season, but I hope they spice it up with more banter between the cast. The interaction seems to be on cruise control. If the sparks can’t ignite with the current characters get someone else on board for a few episodes. Parker and Hardison haven’t had “Any” in four seasons ???? If nothing else, they should have at least tried once.

I hope that TNT keeps Leverage going because this is one of the best shows I have seen on this station….Leverage is the reason why I keep TNT on my “favorite” channel list.

Leverage is a very cool show and I love the entire cast. Not to sound gay but I just love watching eliot hit people and kick major butt. I would have to say that out of the entire run of leverage so far I have one favorite line that is said in almost every episode “damit hardison”
