  • Amazing!!! That’s how you cut a trailer boys and girls!!

  • There is no movie I am more excited to see. Not since Blazing Saddles has comedy been so inspired. (Not sarcastic).

  • First Harold and Kumar was junk. I know it was “transgressive in deconstructing stereotypes,” but that doesn’t change the fact it was vile swill.

The self-referential schtick in #3 will probably get old, fast, as well, but NPH looks, once more, like he owns the movie.

    • Um, dude, the first H & K was a mini-masterpiece, tons of fun, and finely directed, hence all the sub-par sequels and the burgeoning franchise…

They should get Danny Leiner back in the saddle here is all I’m saying.

    • @LordJiggy, Dude, you need to search Ebay and buy yourself a sense of humor, you obviously don’t have any. The first H&K was hilarious, only a conservative prune would think otherwise.

  • Sucks. Very low on the R-rated Raunch Meter. When are they going to show a Woman taking a @hit?

  • Wow, whoever the DP was on this one really did a lackluster job.

The film looks cheap and “digital” as hell. Ugly, ugly, ugly.

Such a shame, considering that digital can look fantastic so long as it’s lit properly.

Cinematographically speaking, this thing looks like a student film.

  • Interesting how in the harold & kumar franchise they never fall in love with other Asians. Actually I think they are the only minorities in the entire film. I guess it would ruin the whole fish out of water thing if other Asians where having sex and getting drunk with other Asians.

    • Did you even see the first one?

    • No clue what you’re talking about. The dream girl in the first movie was a latina and these guys are into women of all ethnicities. These movies are all about people of various cultures.

  • These Hollywood liberals think they’re bold. Making fun of Jesus Christ and surrounding the character with half-naked women. Who knows how far they actually went in the movie.

Why don’t they try it with Mohammed, we’ll see how brave they are. Hahaha. Cowards.

Comment by Anderson — Thursday August 11, 2011 @ 9:51pm PDT  Reply to this post
    • I agree. Offend about 150 million followers of Jesus to get some cheap laughs, maybe. Make fun of one gay, and GLADD wants you to rewrite the entire film. Pretty sad.

first movie was great, this looks worse than the last sequel.

  • It’s a first trailer guys. If you guys hate these “Harold & Kumar” movies so much, the STOP SEEING THEM, AND HOLLYWOOD WILL STOP MAKING THEM! It’s that simple American people. Supply and Demand.

  • I hope John Cho gets Kal Penn and Neil Patrick Harris to have cameos in Star Trek 12.

I think Melissa Ordway plays the gorgeous and empowered half-naked young woman who kicks NPH’s ass at 2:19. She is an inspiration to all of us women. Man! I feel like a woman!

Comment by Johanna (Swedish Amazon) — Thursday August 11, 2011 @ 10:58pm PDT  Reply to this post

  • Looks funny, but…
I thought Kal Penn quit acting to work for Obama. What happened? He quit Barack and now he’s back?

Comment by Comedy Aficionado — Thursday August 11, 2011 @ 11:26pm PDT  Reply to this post
    • He’s back with the Obama administration. He look a break, to do this sequel, now he’s back, working with Armed Forces Entertainment and the USO, amongst other things.

      pretty neat.

  • Honestly looks like they hired Friedberg and Seltzer to make NOT ANOTHER HAROLD AND KUMAR MOVIE. Derivative, self-referential, lazy to the point of just cutting and pasting Lloyd from “Entourage” and the claymation bit from “Community.”

Self-referential is fine to a point — but judging by the trailer that’s all that’s there and they seriously just should have called it NOT ANOTHER H & K MOVIE.

Comment by HW — Friday August 12, 2011 @ 8:31am PDT  Reply to this post
    • That wasn’t Lloyd from Entourage, that was comedian Bobby Lee of MadTV and previous Harold & Kumar movies.

And as much as I love the show, Community neither invented the Claymation Christmas Special nor was the first to parody it.

  • Is it wrong that I hope this plays in front of “The Smurfs”?

Comment by AJD — Friday August 12, 2011 @ 8:55am PDT  Reply to this post
  • I liked the first movie. I didn’t enjoy the second one. From viewing the trailer, I think that I am going to enjoy the third one.
