Cheryl Cole, who became well-known in the U.S. for being hand-picked and then jettisoned as a judge on Simon Cowell’s upcoming Fox singing competition The X Factor, apparently has been cast in a cameo role in Lionsgate’s What To Expect When You’re Expecting, the adaptation of the best-selling pregnancy guidebook. The pop singer’s publicist confirmed the news via Twitter. The BBC said Cole, who appeared on Cowell’s UK version of X Factor before leaving that show too, would play a TV talent show judge in the movie, which would mark her first big-screen appearance. She also recently has been rumored to be a candidate for a judge on the UK version of The Voice. What To Expect, whose ensemble cast includes Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn Decker, Elizabeth Banks, Anna Kendrick, Chris Rock, Chace Crawford, Rob Heubel and Matthew Morrison, is due out May 11, 2012.

Really? Exciting! I loved her when I went to the Chicago auditions.
I wished she was still a judge on The X Factor USA. I will certainly won’t be watching it now.
I’m just glad that she’s still doing something here.
I still cant believe they fired her from The X Factor.
Does this mean she’s learned to speak English?
Probably better than any of you Yanks do
I think she learned American this time around, just in case.
I think her accent is beautiful. Love listening to her.
American comedians are going to love Cheryl Cole’s accent!
Is she really going to be on the UK version of The Voice? Because girl can’t sing.
She won a televised singing talent competition and then formed one of the most successful girl groups, but yeah, she can’t sing.
Have become a big fan since seeing her at the chicago auditions. Audience lover her and no problems with the accent. Wish she was still on the show.
Looking forward to this movie. There are a lot of clips of cheryl on x factor uk on youtube. Worth a look, she’s has great rapport with simon and is fun on the show. Stunning too!
I do not know who she is. And I don’t care to. Apparently, neither does the rest of America. Good luck on trying to sell an overhyped, unintelligible British celebrity to the U.S., Lionsgate! You’re gonna need it.
I live in the uk and i think Cheryl Cole is famous for doing nothing. She may have been in a successful girl group but she cant sing and she is almost as hard to understand as John Bishop (Search on youtube). She isnt very attractive and all she did on X Factor was pretend to cry and argue with simon. I will definitely not see this film now. I wish she would jump down a well with her cow-of-a-husband Ashley and never come out.
Cheryl set up a charity foundation in her name to help under privileged young people from her home town. I think this says a lot about her. A genuinely lovely person.
Cheryl should’ve been on the US X-Factor. She is so charismatic, unlike Nicole S. This cameo sounds funny.
Firstly, she cannot sing herself. This is a fact. The other girls in Girls Aloud had stronger voices but alone she sounds weak. Nadine Coyle had the best voice. Most of UK wondered why she was chosen to judge singers when she mimes all her songs, even when claiming to sing live it has been found out that she dd not.
She hangs on to anyone with a name and I am not surprised she has contacted Simon Cowell again because her career is taking a nose dive in UK. Yes, she is attractive but what else is there? Nicole at least can sing and is just as beautiful. I think Mike Darnell made the correct decision. At least Nicole does not have a criminal conviction for assaulting a black woman or for making racist remarks (dismissed by Court because the woman went to the newspapers before the case). Good luck to USA you can keep her and we’ll have Nicole. And remember, it was not Nicole’s decison to axe Cheryl Cole so stop the hating. Cheryl was the one who refused to be a judge on USA X Factor if Nicole was going to be on it. And Nicole never says anything nasty about her. Get your facts right before making a judgement.
