Now that is announcement worthy…just read this yesterday: http://www.deadline.com/2011/08/ridley-and-tony-scott-build-tv-empire-and-invade-the-emmy-awards/
Good for Scott Free. Having been a client at each place (both have their respective flaws on the tv lit side) but WME at least has a healthy upper level lit roster to develop with, and Korman/Greenburg actually support your development. Selling shows is not in question when you’re a WME client.
Doug Ellin for Scott Free? WME 1 CAA 0
Nice sign
Somebody needs to save these two from all these bad remake ideas… time to step up WME feature side and seal the deal.
If you can do everything yourself and need a hypeman go to wme-if you would like a team go to caa. I would not sign with wme unless I needed an “in” because there are two many hands in the pot and the casting choices are not there. I refuse to believe that m wahlberg came up with those ideas.
Just like Dreamworks (TV) – get more attention from WME in a short term, while keeping a close relationship with CAA. Time to use these agencies, instead of being used by them.
