In yet another competitive situation surrounding a comedy pitch this season, ABC has landed a single-camera comedy to be written by Saturday Night Live alumna Casey Wilson and June Diane Raphael and produced by Sony Pictures TV and Will Gluck’s studio-based company. Titled Walk of Shame, the comedy revolves around a group of twentysomething friends in New York and features an opening scene about an embarrassing situation followed by flashbacks of the events that led to it. Wilson, Raphael and Gluck are executive producing with Paul Schiff, Tai Duncan and Jason Shapiro. Walk of Shame expands Wilson’s relationship with ABC and Sony TV — she co-stars on the ABC/Sony sophomore comedy Happy Endings.
Wilson and Raphael, who met in a clown class at NYU, are long-time writing and stage partners and best friends. They have performed together at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and co-wrote the feature Bride Wars. This is the second TV sale under the two-year film and TV deal Gluck signed with Sony in May. The first, a mocumentary comedy from Mastermind writers Alan Schoolcraft and Brent Simons, sparked a bidding war, landing at NBC with a pilot production commitment.

I always loved Casey. SNL didn’t seem to know how to use her. Good for her!
those girls are funny. why does will cluck look so mean?
Casey is so funny on Happy Endings, hope that show lasts for a long time. The plot to this one sounds a little similar to HE, hopefully it will be just as good.
Love Ms. June Diane. She’s hilarious on NTSF:SD:SUV:: and on the very funny podcast How Did This Get Made?
Casey Wilson is pretty great, too.
Grats ladies, hope it works out great!
WAY TO GO Jason Shapiro and Tai Duncan — good guys bringing a solid sale to their first TV venture!
Wow awesome another all white sitcom …2011 and not one sitcom has yet to be announced by a network with any thing other than white leads and white producers..but hey there’s always The Help .Hollywood is full of ish. Keep making the Tea Party proud and roll the clock back to TV circa 1960′s
Oh and one more thing you are not hiring people of color behind the scenes either.
If you want people of color then watch BET or any Spanish channel. Also, its BS what you said. There are a lot of people of color on TV. There just no show that is made up of only people of color. Except on BET and any Tyler Perry show.
Another one off idea. No series. How do these people keep there jobs?
Yeah, baby, women writers scoring a deal. GIRLFRIENDS UNITE!!!
Yummy Casey Wilson. Loved her since her SNL days. Good to see a sexy girl with curves on network TV (Christina Hendricks has basic cable on lock in MadMen). And yes, she’s actually funny.
i was lucky to work with casey and june on bride wars-was a great experience-they are great ladies with excellent comedy minds-excellent actresses as well
This is the exact same premise as MTV’s I Just Want My Pants Back, which already aired its first episode a few weeks ago.
I’m torn because it’s great to see women writers getting paid, but the ones who brought us Bride Wars?
It just sounds like a new version of the series Friends. This new series should on ABC Family instead. I think that Desperate Housewives could or should continue for another season. Because it appeals to more people of different age groups.
