CBS has renewed Big Brother for a 14th season to air next summer. The veteran reality series is wrapping up its highest-rated season since 2004 with year-to-year increases of 4% in viewers (8.1 million from 7.8 million) and 11% in adults 18-49 (3.1/9 vs 2.8/9). Big Brother is executive produced by Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan for Fly on the Wall Entertainment, in association with Endemol U.S.A.

This is seriously one of the most underrated shows on TV. I love it, and I normally don’t watch reality TV. But, year after year, I get hooked. It’s a very well produced and edited show.
The show is great. Never gets boring. Although, unless your a friend or related to a contestant, you are pretty wierd if you watch the extras (live feed 24/7).
One request to Les Moonves directly – get that annoying red head Rachel off the show and never bring her back. She and her whipped boyfriend, Brendan, are ruinning the show. I TIVO the show just so that I can fast forward whenever either of them hit the screen.
I’m glad she was on this season and regardless if she wins or loses, I’m glad she made it to the finals just to make your life that much worse. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Yeah, I love they show the contestants read out rules to their challenges and then it cuts to an interview where the contestants then explain the rules a second time. Quality work!
Allison, if you’re ready this, please make the switch to HD cameras next year. It’s long overdue.
I agree with the request to go HD. I know it’s a logistical nightmare since they have SO MANY cameras, but it’s really shocking to see 3 hours a week in primetime on a major network and the show is in 4X3 standard definition.
Well, I knew since they announced casting for next season that this would happen. I have loved this season (I enjoy every season, regardless of what others think) and am so thrilled it will be back! I would like season 14 to be a regular cast and then maybe 15 or 16 to be another all-stars. However, we want the EARLY all-stars, not Jessie, or anyone from the recent seasons. Hoping Rach wins tonight!

Good show but lets try a celebrity Big Brother just do not pick anybody pick stars that you know will bring the fire to the show.
I’d love to see another All-Stars next summer. I think the vets this season contributed to the higher ratings. Bring back Janelle, Howie, Dick, Dr. Will, Rachel, Jeff, Jordan — and the ratings will be massive!
I live in the Uk. I was distraught when they stopped showing this here because the uk version is a load of shizz. The tasks are so much more entertaining and inventive on the US one. The uk producers should take a leaf from the US’s book.
Rachel won!!! I never thought I would be rooting for her but Adam simply did not do much to deserve a win and Porshe… I can’t stand the girl…Talk about a major “floater/piggyback rider”
Between Jeff’s “tough love” and Jordan, Rachel seemed to do a lot of growing up, especially after Brendon was voted out…twice. Rachel and Brendon just seem to bring out the worst in each other.
I had a feeling the show would be picked up again. We’ve been watching it since it started. Boy, has the show changed. The houseguests worked much harder to get any kind of luxury. They even had to use a washboard for their clothes back then. It wasn’t as cut-throat either, unlike now!!
I’m glad it will be back… BB is always fun to talk about with family, friends, etc…
