Fox is moving the premiere of new multi-camera comedy series I Hate My Teenage Daughter from Nov. 23 to Nov. 30. The Jaime Pressly-Katie Finneran starring sitcom will still air in its original Wednesday 9:30 PM slot, following The X Factor. I hear the decision was made to give Teenager Daughter more potential eyeballs for its debut as Nov. 23 is the night before Thanksgiving and many Americans will be traveling. Fox is yet to announce what will air from 9:30 PM-10 PM on Nov. 23 behind X Factor.

They should push the premiere back further. Looks like one of the worst new shows of the year. Someone thought of an idea for a skit that MadTV could air and Fox turned it into a sitcom.
They should move it to the web and run out the episodes there. It is pronably the worst pilot I’ve seen in years. Seriously. Not funny. Lame characters. Horrible acting. A train wreck. Fox, please postpone it forever. I have no idea who could have grenlit this pilot to series. They obviously didn’t watch it.
Yeah, as a mom, with friends who are moms (of both sons and daughters-even ages under 6) we really like this show. When will it be airing again? Lots of shows (specifically those aired by Fox) have received heavy critisism yet were still largly popular with audiences. Does anyone remember “Married With Children”? It got horrible reviews, was almost cancelled but was well liked by the viewers and ended up airing for years. The average people, with average problems, average likes and dislikes, etc. can relate to the topics addressed in the first four episodes, the humor, the comic relief is a welcome change to many of us who deal with the daily trials and tribulations we encounter with our children. Sometimes, it’s just nice to see the less “Brady Bunch”/”Modern Family” version of child-parent relationships on television because lets face it, we all love our kids, would do anything for our kids but sometimes, when in the midst of temper tantrum when they yell I hate you because you are acting on behalf of their best interest you want to see that oh look, those kids torture their parents too…the show is fun, entertaining and we like it.
As if anyone will care. Shows with gimmicky titles like this never work out. Even that Ritter sitcom from years ago dropped the silliness of it’s original title. Anymore than 3 words in a title and you’re in trouble, or you’re trying to be too “cute” and “clever”.
“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” = 4 Words
“Sex and the City”
“Secret Life of an American Teenager” = 6 Words
“One Life to Live”
“Tales from the Crypt”
“The Adventures of Ozzy and Harriet”
I can keep going on…
GREAT NAME.
Who wouldn’t want to watch a show about people who hate their children?
Plus, I never need to see Jaime Pressly in any TV show ever again. A strip show, maybe. But nothing that requires acting.
It’s called I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER. HaHaHa, right? Because that’s so clever and funny! Oh my goodness, he HATES his teenage daughter?! What! Why?! I can relate, right? So I’m gonna watch fer sure! HA!
No. Morons. Cancel this before it even airs, please. Thanks.
One of the more terrible pilots I read. And if possible, even worst once it was shot. Oy.
Since “X-Factor U.S.A.” should be well into it’s live performance and results shows by then, I suspect they’ll just stretch the November 23rd episode so it goes to 10 P.M. EST/PST.
If “X-Factor” becomes a huge hit, as many are predicting, local Fox stations would love to see as many episodes as possible run until 10 ET/PT as possible so they’ll lead into their late local news.
On those occasions when “American Idol” directly leads into late local Fox affiliate newscasts, those newscasts often dominate the ratings at that hour, annihilating ABC/CBS/NBC fare from 10 to 11 ET/PT (9-10 CT/MT).
Mark my words – this will never even air. FOX will extend the X Factor episodes and postpone this crap “indefinitely”.
Ed…couldn’t agree more. This is a piece of crap! read the pilot script then saw the pilot. it’s actually embarrassing.
Probably the worst pilot to be picked up in many years. Makes us feel better about process if buried
Nothing is more embarrassing than WORK IT. When I first saw the trailer I thought it was a spoof. To my horror it wasn’t. It might be the worst piece of shit ever made.
Kevin Rahm is hilarious….should be a great new show. Look forward to watching his new show, I Hate My Teenage Daughter.
