James Bobin directs and Jason Segel, Amy Adams and Chris Cooper star.

AWESOMMMMMMMME!
As I see more of these trailers, the more I’m reminded of 1998′s Godzilla – smart and innovative campaign, lousy movie.
Are you kidding???? It’s got Chris Cooper in it! With MUPPETS. That ALONE will get my ass in to a theater.
Not everything that is new is “Hot” and not everything that is “Hot” is new.
Other than that, it’s better than the original trailer by a long shot.
It seems to me a cheap, even tragic disconnect to reference a film that centers on the abuse of women. And it certainly doesn’t feel like something Jim Henson would have done.
Oh god, grow up. That trailer was hilarious.
Jim Henson was and is a giant. His ideas have no need to piggyback on the shoulders of others. And what’s more, Henson worked for children, for whom this trailer has no relevance. Henson was once sacred, but perhaps for some, sacrilege is not offensive.
And “hilarious”? Do you produce “Two and a Half Men”?
Half of everything the Muppets did in the Henson era was parody and this is perfectly in line with that.
Nice job by the editor, but no, not hilarious.
this is hilarious! Muppets have always satirized forms of media and storytelling, and this is a very contemporary way to do it. It’s in line with the choice of hiring Bobin (Flight of the Concords) to direct. These are great signs!
Impressive. Didn’t find the trailer that hilarious, and I’ll probably wait until the film comes to some sort of cable outlet nearer to me than the local AMC….
