Constantin Film and Screen Gems have cast up the fifth installment of the Resident Evil franchise. The film brings back Milla Jovovich and is directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, who wrote the script and produces with Jeremy Bolt, Robert Kulzer, Don Carmody and Samuel Hadida.
Michelle Rodriguez, Johann Urb, Boris Kodjoe, Shawn Roberts, Sienna Guillory, Oded Fehr and Kevin Durand will star in the film. Urb, who was a regular on ABC’s Eastwick and starred in 2012, plays the leader of the Resistance, who teams with Jovovich’s Alice character as she battles the Umbrella Corporation and the swarm of undead.

Yay! I hope they bring back the rest of the cast (Ali Larter, Wentworth Miller, Spencer Locke) for the planned sixth film. I do wonder how they are bringing back Michelle and Oded for number five since they died in previous installments.
I just want to see Michelle in Hands of Stone. The Roberto Duran movie. That’s gonna be sick!
Guessing this is either some kind of prequel or a reboot like they talked about doing?
Considering that Alice was cloned dozens of times, it’s not a stretch to imagine that the Umbrella Corporation cloned Rain Ocampo, Michele Rodriguez’s character from the first movie. So Rodriguez’s being cast in the new movie does not in and of itself indicate whether or not it’ll be a reboot or prequel. Heck, besides a possible clone situation, Rodriguez’s casting could even indicate that the movie contains an extended flashback to a pre-first-movie situation rather than the whole movie being an outright prequel.
Common guys, they will be back in flashbacks, that’s obvious.

Michelle Rodriguez also came back to Lost after getting killed off, and is s’posed to maybe return to the Fast & Furious franchise after getting killed off in the fourth film in that series. Talk about having nine lives…
I love this movie and can’t wait 4 the new one no matter what happens , and I love Milla J. This movie will be awesome .

This film revolves around the Las Plagas parasite. So maybe Umbrella just has Rain & Carlos as test subjects. Seeing as both died, were skilled fighters, got close to Alice and both died in/near Umbrella buildings…easy access and smart choices for test subjects. My thoughts.
It’s sucha shame that K-mart and Claire won’t be back, they were my favourite characters after Alice! lets hope they make another and bring them back then
