EXCLUSIVE: I hear that MTV is considering doubling its second-season order to Teen Wolf. In July, MTV renewed the supernatural drama, inspired by the 1985 movie, for a second season with a 12-episode pickup. Now I’ve learned that there are discussions to expand the order to 24 episodes, which would be filmed back-to-back with a short hiatus between them. The teen-skewing werewolf show starring Tyler Posey, Crystal Reed and Dylan O’Brien was MTV’s highest-rated new series this season until breakout hit Awkward came along. It averaged about 1.7 million viewers on Mondays at 10 PM. Creator Jeff Davis, Marty Adelstein, Michael Thorn, René Echevarria, Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley executive produce.

I totally agree. I didn’t know what to think when I heard they were turning it into a series. But after seeing the first episode, I kept watching the whole season. I have to admit it was way better than I was anticipating.
Ive never watched TEEN WOLF..but AWKWARD is great!..
Awkward is very good. Teen Wolf is better. Way, way better than I expected it to be.

YESSS! I love this show! I was happily surprised at how clever the show is and the actor in the role of Stiles is very talented. My entire family sat down to watch this the night the first episode aired and we have been hooked every since! Can’t wait for the new season!!
I hope not.The thing that’s great about Teen Wolf and most serialized cable shows is that they only have to stretch a story over 12/13 episodes.Makes the story tighter and gives you less room for filler.That means it probably won’t drag on.
You give it 24 episodes and you’re in danger of spoiling the show.You might end up not having an appropriate story to fit that many episodes.
Also, Russell Mulcahy directed the first 3 and last 3 episodes of the season.His work was all over the show and the episodes were very well done.If he returns for the second season, I doubt he’ll be able to direct most of the episodes.
I think what they should do is instead of having one storyline over the entire season, they should have 2 storyarcs for each 12 episodes.Kinda like what Heroes did.
Gotta admit this show is a real guilty pleasure of mine. Clever, fun, exciting and sexy as hell!!! Please double the order, triple it even, just keep taking those shirts off!!!
Teen wolf is the best love the jokes on the sow.the show kinda reminds me of like a new age Buffy the vampire slayer but better

YES! I’m 20, but this show is crazy good, in my opinion. I was literally wanting to watch the next episode right away, which is always a good sign. I’m more than happy they are thinking of doubling the order… so many characters with such interesting family backstory. But someone tell me why the house that was burned down is still there? Can’t someone demolish that thing? Just curious.
TEEN WOLF IS FREAKIN AWESOME!!!! BEST SHOW EVER (nxt to Charmed) REALLY LOVE IT. 24 episOdes wood b great. I didn’t want the first season ta b over!!! And I wanna watch Akward but Neva get a chance too.
Wonder if this means that Awkward could get more episodes next season (bumping it up from its 12-episode second-season order). Frankly, I was stunned by how good Awkward is (especially since it is on MTV), and it has cross-over appeal (I’m not the MTV demographic at all).

I lovvvvvvvve me some teen wolf. I thought it wont gonna be good until I watched the first episode and I was sucked in! Love it! I do NOT like awkward. I think its just plain out stupid! Like, the ppl who would tune into that show would be little eighth graders talking about sex! Wth. Its wack. So keeeep on with the Teen Wolf, ill be tuning in for second season that’s for sure.
The show looks good…however, the sound design is disappointing to say the least. I don’t know who is doing the sound but it could be much better. When will the networks understand that the audio is just as important as the video.
yeah I think that teen wolf needs the 22to 24 esp because the show is really that good. It ranks up their with vampire diaries. because vampire diaries tells at least two to three stories in one season. first was the double gainer second the wolf story and which story. Also, best friend Coraline becoming a vampire. if they have really great writers they can pull it off. it all lead up to a build up at the end of the season.
Plus TiVo recordings for people who can’t be near a television in time to watch it!
