OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network will debut a new programming block, “Super Soul Sunday,” on October 16. The three-hour block will include never-before-seen episodes of Oprah’s Soul Series, which features one-on-one conversations between Winfrey and various authors, thinkers and spiritual leaders; feature-length documentaries; and short-form content from Soul Pancake, the production company co-founded by Rainn Wilson. “Exploring themes and issues including happiness and personal fulfillment, wellness, spirituality and conscious living, these programs present an array of perspectives on what it means to be alive in today’s world,” the network said in the release unveiling the block.

God that sounds like a boring network! And what the hell is “conscious living”? As opposed to what? Unconscious living? OWN is a network for people who love to smell their *own* farts.
When one flies too high the fall is that much harder. I for one have no interest in her network even though for years Ms. Winfrey had a nice little chat show.
Because nothing says “soul” like Rainn Wilson.
Ha! Good one.
I like Oprah, but OWN seems to have become a reality check for Ms. Winfrey. Perhaps she can have a show in which she talks about having to deal with the failure that is OWN.
Well lets just bury this network now!(If it’s not already dead)… What a piece of crap! All the same “inspirational’ stuff she’s already done…and during a possible recession? People need practical, real direction that can help them through these times, not some “philosopher” pontification. And Rainn Eilson is going to provide that direction?? Couldn’t be more amused. She’s desperate.
There is a huge problem at OWN. It is not enought to just buy a network and throw your famous name
At it. You need to have focus and programming o follow. I understand the layover of old programs lie Mystery Diagnosis( the only reason i watch own) but then you throw in What not to Wear repeats, old Dr. Phil repeats

How sad……just cancel the network already.
I love the channel and watch each of the new shows. Too bad ..most people want to
watch the negative and bad things in the world and some of us want to see something else.
I love the Super Soul Sunday program, and they just won an Emmy. They must be doing something right. It’s very uplifting, and I hope they continue to do this and other thought provoking shows.
