Fledgling cable channel ReelzChannel, which became an original programming player overnight when it picked up miniseries The Kennedys, is now expanding into reality with its first unscripted series, The Z Team. It stars actors Lorenzo Lamas and Tommy “Tiny” Lister,Marine-turned-actor Rudy Reyes and former professional wrestler Torrie Wilson as a group, led by Lamas, who will be contracted by law enforcement agencies and concerned citizens to confront real life and death situations on the streets of America. Per Reelz, “The Z Team, relying on years of experience fighting bad guys on the big screen, in the ring and in real life take on drug dealers, the mob and dirty politicians—no case is too much for them.” The series will be produced by Zoo Prods. whose co-founder John Stevens called a series a cross between “the action and drama of Die Hard and The Expendables and the reality of Cops.”

Untrained, armed citizens fighting crime. Was this created by the NRA? (Please note the lack of muzzle discipline and fingers on the trigger.)
then it could not have been created by the NRA. The NRA has numerous gun training and safety classes.
But way to get your pathetic agenda out there.
In any case, this screams disaster.
There is no way this show even reaches the meager level reality in current reality tv. There is no way that z listers whose sole training consists of bad choreography and prop guns would ever be called upon by the real men and women of the police…unless the sole purpose of “contracting” them is to watch them get their asses kicked.
Episode 1: Cat in Tree
Guy and J.A. clearly you missed the part where it said MARINE turned actor Rudy Reyes. He has done tours in Iraq among other places. I think that constitutes “training”.
I’ve followed rudy reyes for a little while now and his martial arts career is impressive as will as his time as a reconnaissance marine.. The guy had to play himself in Generation Kill because there want an actor out there who could pull it off.
@ Roman…I don’t know how “personal” you knew of Rudy.. but for myself.. I’ve met him twice and I know him to be a decent and kind human being… plenty of discipline and self-control…. As for moody? Don’t we all have our moments? PTSD or not.. I’m extremely grateful for his service to this country.. As I said earlier.. I’ve met the man only twice so I hope you’re wrong about the assessment… otherwise.. you’re WRONG again…coz if that’s the case… then he’s an excellent actor…
