Starz will pay tribute to former Spartacus star Andy Whitfield, who died of cancer last Sunday. The tribute, which will air this Sunday at 9 PM, will include five episodes of Spartacus: Blood and Sand, including the premiere and finale episodes. The network is set to re-air the entire first season of Spartacus: Blood and Sand starring Whitfield starting on Dec. 16.

I was so sad to hear about Andy passing away. He was outstanding as Spartacus. Really a great performance.
It’s sad and frightening that a young man in such incredible shape can be struck down like that.

I dont think the show is as big of a success to cash in on Andy. It seems as they are really paying respect to him.
Cashing in? How do you figure? Starz owns the rights to Spartacus! If you’d think right, and do some reading, you’d realize that this is a memorial to an actor who was hired by Starz to play Spartacus, and did a damn fine job at it, too! STFU, a-hole!

I have only seen andy on spartacus and i think the man was a great actor who deserved a good career.
