Happy for Nadine Labaki. She is super talented (and beautiful) and tackles awesome themes of Lebanese womanhood with incisiveness and, at times, deft humor. Awesome talent. Saw her flick “Caramel” and thought it to be a celluloid marvel. Congrats to a truly talented “hyphenate” — writer/director/movie star. A triple threat. You go girl and do your thing as well as you do.
Where do we go now? is a hilarious and touching film. Congrats to my fellow Lebanese citizen Nadine Labaki, you make us proud!
Ditto!
Congratulations to Edwin Boyd, particularly Nathan Morlando and Allison Black!!! I know this has been a passion project for them and they deserve every bit of success on this film and those that come after. Mighty proud of you two….the hard work paid off
I second this! “Caramel” was a gem of a film. Her approach to filmmaking through authentic storytelling is refreshing. Bravo to TIFF for making a truly international selection. I am looking forward to seeing “Where Do We Go Now?” and am excited to see what opportunities this win will offer her career.
Who are the Cadillac People? Sounds like fun.
Jon – Congratulations!! You need to see that that film gets to Cincinnati. Anything I can do to help, I will.

Hey Jon,
Great news. You certainly deserved it. Now on to the Oscars.
P.S. You’re out of my will……how come I’m not on your mailing list?
