NBC’s Saturday Night Live kicked off its 37th season tonight with Alec Baldwin breaking Steve Martin’s record with a 16th stint as host. Here is Baldwin’s opening monologue featuring Martin and Seth Rogen, a parody of Thursday night’s GOP debate with Baldwin as frontrunner Rick Perry, and an All My Children wrap party skit. (AMC ended its 41-year run on ABC this week.)

Alec has a wonderful SNL diet. He always appears 20 pounds lighter when he hosts SNL than he does the other 364 days of the year.
Move along, “NOTHING NEW” to see here.
….or maybe dating a 26 year old yoga instructor has taken him to places other than steak houses! Is Alex going vegan? Let’s hope!
Who’s Alex?
This was one of the worst SNL premieres ever. It was tired, old and really not funny.
People have been saying that since 1977. Come up with something new.
any episode where alec takes up his tony bennett impression is top dollar in my book
That thing is still on the air?
So, as a Canadian I’m considered part of the US for movie rights, but not for TV rights, since NBC blocks this content in Canada.
Actually, I thought it had a great spark and, especially the first 30 minutes, was old-days SNL. With the political season coming up, they have a chance to be relevant again, if their key demographic can stay up that late.
Alec Baldwin is an idiot and amazing how he still retains a job in this industry, even if he does so many stupid things that wiould get others fired. What a putz!
Awesome episode. Front to back!
11 minute cold open?
a tony bennet impression that doesnt refer to the 9/11 controversy?
but there were a laughs.
it is what it is.
