They should have just released the 3-D version of “The Lion King” instead this weekend. I think it would have made more money.
I can see why they would rerelease Cars 2, it’s one of the first pixar movies in many years to not get to 200. The 2 Ice Age sequels did better. They should rerelease Pirates 4 as well – that movie is the worst performing Pirates film.
Yeah, but at least has done terrific overseas. Pirates has also made its way in and out of discount theaters, so putting it in first run theaters again wouldn’t make sense. As far as I know, Cars hasn’t found its way to the dollar theaters yet.
Also, Bad Teacher expands back to nearly 1000 theatres in order to push past $100 million (It currently sits at $98.3 million)
Does that sort of thing really work? Are scores of people going to flock to see BAD TEACHER in September when they failed to go in August or July?
You’d be surprised how many people actually end up at movies like these to see them again because nothing new came out they’re interested in.
Sometimes I get lost in other films on a week by week basis since I’m just so busy & would rather choose to see something else during opening weekend.
X-Men First Class is the only X-Men film I never saw in theaters, because I was busy with finals & found myself more interested in Super 8, Cars 2, etc.
I’d probably go see Bad Teacher since I missed it the first time (granted, it got lukewarm reviews, but what else am I going to go see? Shark Night?)
You’ve got to be kidding me-it’s so trnasparetlny clear now!
