Charlie Sheen’s media blitz on Sept. 19, the day of the Two and a Half Men season premiere, continues. In addition to his Comedy Central roast airing that night, Sheen will appear on The Wendy Williams Show earlier that day for an exclusive daytime interview. If you wonder how Williams scooped more established daytime players like Ellen DeGeneres, Dr. Phil or the ladies from The View in landing Sheen, the show is produced and distributed by Lionsgate subsidiary Debmar-Mercury, which is also set to distribute Sheen’s Lionsgate TV-produced new sitcom Anger Management.

Kick Ass Wendy. WINNING.
Wendy Williams is a terrible talk-show host. Even worse than Dr. Phil and those “View” ladies.
But Sheen is a trainwreck. They’ll be perfect for one another.
You sound very bitter. You are just jealous of these women. Get a life.
Amazing! #HowYouDoin
Does anybody really care anymore?
How YOU DOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNN?
Is this a scoop or is it more of a matter that the more established talk shows have no interest in giving this nut a platform to spew his crap? Like any woman who watches daytime television gives two figs what this disrespectful nut job has to say.
Dr. Phil is a tool and Ellen only asks softball questions, so with Oprah gone, this is not a shock. Wendy always asks her guests the questions that the audience would ask if they could.
If you’re really surprised that Wendy Williams got this exclusive over Ellen, then you must have no clue how business works. Ellen is produced by Telepictures which is a basically a division of Warner Bros. Television. Sheen is in arbitration with Warner Bros. Television. In what universe would any Warner Bros. or Time Warner company give Sheen any kind of platform – especially on the day when WBTV’s Two and a Half Men premieres.
