ABC has ordered full seasons of its new series Revenge and Suburgatory. The network also has ordered six more scripts of its sophomore comedy Happy Endings. The news comes after some encouraging ratings news on all 3 shows this morning, with Happy Endings and freshman Revenge posting week-to-week gains and Suburgatory matching its performance from last week. No word on struggling freshman Charlie’s Angels yet but the feeling is that, like with the other 3 show, ABC will wait to see how the series does tonight before making the final decision.

That’s great news!! I love REVENGE, and Emily’s shenanigans. One of my favorite guilty pleasures!!
Same here – and I didn’t think I would like this show. Yet I eagerly wait for it to come on each week.
Yeah, REVENGE is good stuff. Just Emily’s weekly vendettas alone are worth watching play out, but the other characters have interesting sides as well.
Long overdue for Revenge! So glad we can count on digging into this soapy goodness for the rest of the year. #TeamJack
Great news! Revenge is my favorite new show of the season.
No word on PAM AM yet, I take it?
SUCCESS.
HAPPY ENDINGS!!!! AWESOME!!!! So glad they are making more episodes. Best sitcom on TV, by far.
They’re not making more eps, they’re ordering more scripts in case their mid-season entries are worse than Happy Endings. i dig the HE cast, except for the guys all seem gay instead of just the one token gay dude, but the writing (IMHO) isn’t as clever or funny as they think it is.
i agree, HE is nauseating. It’s not as good as 30 Rock or Community, which own the trendy “single camera witty show” genre.
Happy Endings is not good this season, and I cannot put my finger on exactly why. I really enjoyed it last season, but I am not this season.
So happy to hear that…I am so addicted to that show !!!!!!!!!!!!
Interesting re the Happy Endings script order… hasn’t it done well enough (it’s beating The Middle and Suburgatory) to get better than the “let’s see some scripts” treatment? I wasn’t a fan of season 1 and haven’t bothered with anything from season 2, but it rose 18% last night from it’s season 2 premiere last week.
As they say”revenge is a dish best served cold” & I’m glad we’ll continue to see her serve it.I really like this show & the way she nails a different one each week. It’s fun seeing how she’ll do it each week. Getting even with rich people & political candidates just makes it that much sweeter. She’s got a long list,so,I’d say the fun is just beginning. At least now we’ll see the story unfold for an entire season &perhaps a few seasons.Thank you.
Happy about Revenge. But really? 6 episodes for Happy Endings? And not even episode-order but script-order? At least it should have been a 9-episode order so we get a full 22 episode-season.
I’m sad :’(
More Happy Endings!!!! Yayyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS REVENGE CREW… this is by faar the best news of the day. The New Insane Addiction has started and is getting insaner week by week infinity times infinity
Happy Endings is an excellent show – I don’t find there is a weak spot in the cast.
I agree that “Happy Endings” is one of the most consistently funny and fresh comedies on TV. All 6 leads really shine. (Casey Wilson was hilarious in last night’s episode with Megan Mullaly.) It makes for a great hour paired with “Modern Family.”
Happy Endings finally getting some recognition — good. It’s very, very different than these other shows. I like very much. Very funny.
Great news for Revenge. Wonder if we will see Revenge go on hiatus while they produce the extra episodes? We know what a lengthy hiatus can do to a show’s momentum. Hopefully ABC has learned from NBC and CBS mistakes.
Great news about Happy Endings. Not so great about that other show — what a snoozer. But again, psyched to know Happy Endings will be around for the foreseen future. That show cracks me up.
ABC has a ton of comedies. They’re just being cautious. Happy Endings has done well, especially in the 18-34
Happy endings will be cancelled by the end of the season, “6 more scripts” is a sign that the show is on cancellation road… i don’t understand why though
Great news about Revenge! It should never have been a 10 episode pick-up in the first place, it deserved a full season from the get-go.
Loving ‘Revenge’ and delighted for Gabriel Mann. Shame Marc Blucas had to leave due to scheduling conflicts – Tupper isn’t as good a fit.
I disagree. All the finance guys including her father seem so real and east coastish to me. New money roots guys who have had a ton for years now. REVENGE is awesome.
Good news for Happy Endings. Thought I thought it had high enough ratings to get a full season order, or at least as good as Suburgatory? Which I think is sorta cute, but not really that funny. Happy Endings I think just gets funnier and funnier.
Great news for Revenge! My new guilty pleasure!
SUBURGATORY is not good. Watched it last night. Seems you could have shot it in 1981. Everyone’s white — all the moms are stay at home and worry about pleasing their husbands. What world is this? There’s no hint of truth or reality to it at all. Seems like it’s based more on other shows/movies — clueless, valley girl, mean girls — than anything from life.
Apparently you don’t get dark humor. If anything its a satire on he whole Real Housewives reality shows. In reality, the writing is like Mean Girls meets Gilmore Girls.
What you don’t understand is tha they are making fun of the stay at home type of women.
And not everyone is white. Rex Lee is Asian and the actor tha played the head of the school newspaper is African American.
Happy Endings only holds on to lilke 53 percent of its MF lead-in. You get cancelled if you only hold on to 80. It’s toast.
yay!!!!!! for Suburgatory!
