Part 1 of the two-part Halloween episode of FX’s American Horror Story drew 2.2 million viewers in adults 18-49 in Live+Same Day, up 16% from last week and a series high, surpassing the series premiere, which posted 2.0 million in Live+Same Day. AHS was helped by its lead-in last night, the broadcast premiere of Twilight, which delivered 1.5 million 18-49 viewers. It was the second biggest lead-in for AHS behind the Transformers broadcast debut (2 million), which preceded the series premiere. AHS became FX’s second series whose fourth episode eclipsed the premiere, along with co-creator Ryan Murphy’s previous series for the network, Nip/Tuck.

Best new show. It doesn’t have the best acting and editing is a bit sloppy sometimes but it’s probably the most entertaining and captivating show right now on TV. Homeland and The Walking Dead in comparison are starting very slow.
I’m guessing that having Zachary Quinto in the episode had something to do with the higher ratings.

The audience is building for a non-traditional series. The biggest task at hand is to convince an audience that otherwise intelligent adults would continue to live in that house, rather than run for the hills.
It is exciting and unpredictable. Like all Ryan Murphy shows, it will burn out fast, creatively speaking, but for now I am enjoying the ride.

And Jessica Lange looks incredible plus you can tell she loves this role.

And the best actress on the show? For me, it’s the young daughter with Downs Syndrome who plays Jessica Lange’s child. She is a great young actress and really makes the scenes she is in.

This show is vulgar & perverse. Couldn’t get past 10 mins of episode two. Delete series record!
Very very fun show. The writing seems to be getting a bit better, too. But even bad writing can’t spoil the sheer fun of this show – the over-the-topness plus great cast is a winning combo.
this is an old fashioned word of mouth hit. I have talked to people and said watch it past the first episode and you will be hooked. They gave it another try and were hooked. Great show.
Great show, was hooked after the first 5 minutes! Better than reboots like Charlie’s Angels that’s for sure.
