EXCLUSIVE: Film director/TV producer Tony Krantz has signed with CAA. This marks a return to CAA for Krantz, who started his career in the agency’s mailroom and rose to head of CAA’s primetime packaging, where he helped put together ER, The West Wing, Twin Peaks and Beverly Hills 90210. After a stint as CEO of Imagine Television, Krantz segued into film directing about four years ago and has helmed three features, including most recently The Big Bang, with three other potential film-directing vehicles in the works. Krantz, who was at WME, is currently mounting a big push in television through his indie production company Flame Ventures, which has eight projects set up at various networks.

Great guy….great producer..
cant you find a better photo of him…..the freddy kruger look isnt helping his love life!
Don’t forget he was also a driving force behind 24. He’s responsible for getting Imagine launched in TV.
But yes, please get a new picture. This one looks like what you’d get if Bill Gates had sex with Dobby the Elf.
Full circle. Congrats Tony!
Yuck, what a pairing!
he is a smart guy..and did not want to be part of the WME mill…They have so many clients now that he would be lost lost lost..He knew that and signed with the Agency that can help him..
How ironic , since when Tony left to go run Imagine, the entire TV department was thrilled beyond belief. Bygones, I guess.
What a reward to those at WME who put up with his temper tantrums, continued to sell series for him and push his unwatchable films… a knife in the back.
But then again, that’s how he rolls– ask some of the vets at CAA, Imagine, WB or anyone else who’s had the unfortunate luck of being in business with him.
What else goes full circle? A downward spiral.
wait, he sells 8 projects in one year with WME then bails? How can CAA best that?
i hope he’s going to the Raider game this Sunday. just win, baby.
