EXCLUSIVE: Chelsea Kane (Jonas) has landed a lead in ABC Family’s comedy pilot Baby Daddy. The project, from executive producer Dan Berendsen (The Nine Lives of Chloe King), centers on Ben (Cameron Deane Stewart) who, in his 20s, becomes a surprise dad to a baby girl when she’s left on his doorstep by an ex-girlfriend. Ben decides to raise the baby with the help of his mother; his brother Danny (Derek Theler), his best buddy; and his close friend Penny (Kane), who is harboring a secret crush on him. Kane, a finalist on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, will star in the upcoming ABC Family movie musical Elixir. The pilot will film in December.

Um, isn’t that Raising Hope?
My thoughts exactly. And Chelsea Kane is awful. They could have gone with someone so much better.
Yay, I love Chelsea Kane. This sounds great.
Thank You!
yes this is a DIRECT rip-off of “Raising Hope” but with talented people. Chelsea Kane can’t act. really original ABC Family
I have nothing against Chelsea Kane..ive NEVER seen her act..but it seems like once the tween stars of the Disney Channel get too old..they graduate to ABC FAMILY..
I read it and it’s actually more of a rip-off of “Three Men and a Baby” – even the baby has the same name
You have no idea what you are talking about. Wait until you see the pilot
I love Chelsea Kane from the moment she stepped on the dance floor
i agree with Jake. never heard of her until she went dancing. after that i really liked her. im glad she’s getting work. good luck chelsey , you were great in DWTS.
I had the pleasure of working with Cameron Deane Stewart on a movie called Bad Kids Go to Hell, and I think his performance will only make Chelsea Kane’s that much better. Cameron is a catalyst to good entertainment, I saw first hand on Bad Kids.
