That was quick. After turning down Fox’s offer this past summer to continue on Glee as a recurring because a regular gig was not in the offing, Chord Overstreet has changed his mind and is now in final negotiations to rejoin the show as a recurring. Per our sister site TVLine, which broke the story, Overstreet will make his return in the eighth episode of Glee in December. He recently guest starred in an episode of ABC’s The Middle.

YES. Glee has not been the same without him. I actually thought he was one of the best parts of Season 2.

I cannot possibly convey in words how happy it makes me to have him back. I wasn’t even watching the show anymore because I was so disgusted with what they did with this character that I have really grown to love. I’ll be tuning in again when he returns. I just hope they don’t mess up his character out of spite or something.
Glee never messes up any characters.

you know, i am the same. i didnt particular care for him in the second season. but i actually miss his presence now that he’s gone for so long. as rest of male characters are a bit too much… blain is a little bit too metro, finn is bland as always, mick still have to show his charm, artie got boring this season as well.
Kirk is still good, and puck is interesting at times. but i really that sunshine feel that chord brought to the show, esp this season, the storyline seem to be a little bit heavy.
also i noticed many nasty comments directed towards Chord. leave the kid alone, he’s just pursue his dream of acting, why are you guys so happy that he’s wasnt doing so well?

guess he found out the price for leaving a hit like glee one type cast and two have to start over again. trying to get gigs. and hope his first scenes are with mercedes and also being the one to start the love triangle with her.
Well it was either Glee or gay porn. LOL! His guest spot on The Middle was embarrassing. He didn’t seem to get any other parts thrown his way (on TV or film anyway). The kid can’t act. The only reason he has the Glee gig is because Ryan Murphy likes guy who look like barely legal Brent Corrigan types.
WME reps + his dad is a famous songwriter from Nashville, and no other offers. They underestimated his value in the marketplace. He had no choice but to go back.
