Cinemax’s first primetime drama series Strike Back is a keeper. HBO’s sibling cable network has picked up a 10-episode second season of the action series to air next year. Filming will begin in South Africa in early 2012. Returning as producing partners to Cinemax/HBO are Left Bank and Sky, which will air the series in the U.K. Also coming back are Left Bank’s Andy Harries and Sky’s Huw Kennair-Jones as executive producers, series producer Michael Casey, head of production Marigo Kehoe, series directors Bill Eagles, who will direct four new episodes, Paul Wilmshurst, who will direct two episodes, and writer Tony Saint, who will write a number of episodes and co-executive produce. There must be major deaths coming in the final episodes of Season 1 of Strike Back, which ends Oct. 21, as Cinemax declined to announce the cast for Season 2 “due to plot spoilers in upcoming episodes”. Season 1 starred Sullivan Stapleton and Philip Winchester, with Amanda Mealing, Eva Birthistle, Jimi Mistry, Rhashan Stone, Michelle Lukes and Richard Armitage. The current season of the show tells the story of a charismatic former U.S. Special Forces operative (Stapleton) who joins with a stealth British military unit when a resourceful international terrorist group plots a major attack.

I love this show. Sullivan stapleton & Phillip Winchester are great together. Don’t kill off either one. And, for all those comments regarding Stapletons butt I have no comment about his butt. When he was having sex I wasn’t watching his ass. I was more interested in the hot woman he was with. Great show! Keep bringing it back. Would like the see longer seasons.
l do l get the original movies am from l love this movies
Wow!!!!! It’s a nice movie but i have not got the merit to watch the third season here in ghana and moreover the second season is too short.where in ghana can i get the complete seasons?post it to me in my mail box.
I love this show… so when will we see the Cinemax season on DVD/Blu-Ray?????!!!!!!
So when does the next season begin????????? June 2012????? Need to know.
Season 1 was far better and far more realistic than the “melodrama” BS of the whole new and very unbelievable premise and cast of Season 2. I’m totally unenthusiastic about another “daytime Soap Opera” class of show for Season 3. This was the reason that stupid Ashley Judd “Missing” was a dud – total BS premise and awful writing and acting. The REAL CIA and MI5 world is cut n dry, blood and guts, that’s it… not this melodrama and porking every tail in a skirt crap. Get back to the real world writers!
Bring back Porter some way and ditch “pretty boy” Stonebridge and stereotyped “American Bad-boy” Scott. Pathetic acting and cliched characters.
Outstanding series!!!! Bummed out after seeing first season on internet then found out no season 2! This is better than 24 or anything else I’ve seen as far as action/drama
