NBC Cancels New Comedy ‘Free Agents’
The CW is pulling new reality show H8R off the schedule effective immediately. Starting next week, the network will air repeats of new drama Ringer in H8R‘s Wednesday 8 PM slot. The demise of H8R extends the CW’s dry spell on the unscripted side, where the network has not been able to launch a successful series. (America’s Next Top Model started off on UPN.) The CW will use the slot to get additional sampling for Ringer, which the network’s brass like creatively and are getting behind despite recent ratings decline. This has become a trend this fall as NBC too replaced its recently canceled shows with reruns of freshman series in need of extra sampling: Prime Suspect (in for The Playboy Club) and Whitney (in for Free Agents). After perking up last week with the episode featuring Kim Kardashian, which hit a series high in total viewers and posted 50% gains in the demos, H8R returned to its middling ways last night (1.2 million viewers, 0.4/1 in 18-49), down 21% in total viewers and 33% in 18-49. The series features celebrities who get to confront their biggest haters.

Well what do you know, prayers are answered!
[SNIFF] Mmmm… smells like another one from Mike Fleiss!
Finally some good news from the world of network television. This show was an embarrassment to the nation.
This can’t be a surprise to anyone. WIth so many options on TV and in life, we want to be entertained and engaged. Who wants to spend time with some unknown person who has a negative opinion of a C, D or F lister. After spending some time on the web and in comments sections, it’s pretty clear that most of the public has hate for a great many number of people. This show sounded so contrived. Who cares? What a waste of time.
The only shows worth watching on the CW network in my personal opinion are Nikita, TVD and Ringer. They are the only reasons I watch this crapfest of a network. I mean I watch Hart of Dixie and enjoy it, but I wouldn’t be broken up about it if it were cancelled. The Secret Circle might be doing okay in the ratings, but it’s not even close to the caliber of TVD and I find it incredibly boring.
cw shows failed when it changed from upn. ugh i miss upn shows
I’m convinced CW stands for Crazy Weirdos. All of the folks on here saying “OOh, I only watch CW for One Tree Hill and blah, blah, blah” you still watch the rest of that vapid crap and you know it. H8r was an awesome idea, it was just carried out wrong, and although I’m no Kardashian azz-licker like the rest of the world seems to be, she’s got a lot thicker skin than the high and mighty J.Lo would ever have to actually hear someone else out that might not say what they’d like to hear. And being human, let’s admit it, we’d all like to hear someone say those things to J.Lo.
