Disney has seen the 3D light following the success of its re-release of The Lion King in the extra dimension, announcing today limited theatrical releases for four more of its animated films: Beauty and the Beast (January 13, 2012), Pixar’s Finding Nemo (September 14, 2012) and Monsters, Inc. (January 18, 2013), and The Little Mermaid (September 13, 2013). The Lion King 3D is about to cross $80 million in domestic box office since it was re-released September 16; it finished third this past weekend domestically, where it is playing in 2,340 theaters. The Monsters Inc. date, meanwhile, comes five months before Disney releases that film’s prequel, Monsters University, on June 21, 2013.

Fuck this, I work at a movie theater, and this will freaking kill me
I’m not a fan of these movies. But, it certainly makes sense to re-release them since Lion King has done so well.
No kidding! Aladdin’s a classic!
Aladdin. The magic carpet ride looked great in 2D, might look better in 3D.
i think it is a great idea that little mermaid and monsters inc are going to be redone in 3d.also cant wait to beauty and the beast in 3d.beauty and the beast in 3d is going to look great.
i think that little mermaid would look great in 3d and instead of finding nemo in 3d how about seeing aladdin in 3d.the scene where aladdin is on the chase to get out of the cave of wonders and the lava is rising would look not great but spectacular in 3d.
another movie that should be done in 3d is the older sequel to fantasia which is fantaia 2000.
I already went and saw The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast 3D in theaters. They both are incredable in 3D. And I really looking forward for The Little Mermaid and 3D. It’ll be my big chance to experience in theaters. And I hope they’ll do the same thing with Aladdin, but we’ll see.
