EXCLUSIVE: FX has greenlighted comedy pilot presentation Legit. Directed by Peter O’Fallon, Legit stars Australian comedian Jim Jefferies, who is being described as “shockingly charming and brutally honest.” Legit centers on a misanthrope (Jefferies) trying to go legit. CAA-repped Jefferies and O’Fallon co-wrote the script and will executive produce, with Jefferies’ manager Lisa Blum also producing. Last year, Jefferies had a comedy series in development at Comedy Central about his new life in the U.S. O’Fallon recently directed the pilot for Lifetime’s The Protector, the ninth of 11 pilots he has directed to go to series.
