EXCLUSIVE: No hard feelings? Two months after her surprising ouster from CBS’ daytime show The Talk, Holly Robinson Peete is returning to the network for her first major post-Talk gig: a multiple-episode arc on CBS’ sophomore comedy Mike & Molly. Robinson Peete has been enjoying an outpouring of support from fans of The Talk following CBS’ August decision not to pick up her and fellow co-host Leah Remini’s options for Season 2, and there has been a lot of curiosity about what the actress would do next. Joining a CBS series was probably not high on anybody’s guess list. Mike & Molly, from creator Mark Roberts, executive producer Chuck Lorre and Warner Bros TV, stars Billy Gardell as overweight police officer Mike and Melissa McCarthy as his plus-size schoolteacher girlfriend Molly. Robinson Peete will play a love interest for Mike’s partner Carl (Reno Wilson), who lives with grandmother and has been struggling with women. This marks Robinson Peete’s return to multi-camera comedy genre where she she has starred in a number of series, including the Warner Bros TV-produced Like Family. The actress, repped by Innovative and manager John Ferriter, also has a cameo in the upcoming 21 Jump Street movie, reprising her role from the Fox series.

Go Holly! Nothing like landing on your feet and moving forward.
Wow… After all the crap she said about CBS, surprised they hired her. Surprised she wanted to work for them.
You are amazing Holly. Great management does this – but great talent succeeds.
DAP
You must not follow Holly! She never has said anything bad about CBS. She only talks about how she misses doing the show and having a platform to help with Autism! She’s a Class Act! Yay Holly
The Talk is a hot mess anyways she’s in a better position now on Mike & Molly.
Holly is cute and fine like cherry wine.
I don’t think either Holly or Leah ever personnaly said a bad word about CBS. All the negativity was from angry fans. They (Holly & Leah) have been very gracious.
WHO CARES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not being malicious. It’s a real question. Who’s radar is she on? What has she ever done, besides possibly having a great publicist? Any memorable roles? I don’t get it. Which begs the question. Seriously guys. Holly Who? Who cares?
Holly and Leah never made any negative comments against CBS. They are very classy and took their unjust firings with grace and dignity. I am happy for Holly, WTG girl!!
From one obligatory black girl to another, I just have one thing to say.
You go girl!
uggh im sick of this girl. She’s had her time in the limelight. Give us somebody new instead of the same old sitcom actresses.
Glad to see her back. I for one don’t watch the talk anymore. Wish he’d and Leah the best.
this makes me very happy…..class act is correct….this will be the first of many gigs for holly…..she has quite a following after being on the talk for season 1. the exposure was great for people to get to know her better. what a fine woman she is…..thrilled to hear this……
Here’s a bad joke … Do you think she will promote her upcoming “Mike & Molly” appearance on “The Talk?” Sorry, I had to go there. She and Leah deserve better.
To whom ever said they were surprised she is doing this after all the bad stuff she said about CBS….show me ONE single quote from her saying a SINGLE thing bad about anyone. This woman has more class than most of us could hope to ever have. Even though she was very unfairly let go, and very disrespected by the show by them not even acknowledging her leaving or why, she STILL never said a bad word. Check your facts.
Holly and Leah seam to be very down to earth people, they say whats on their minds, and when they say it, it’s funny. They aren’t malace, it’s just their opinion Just a freaking opinion.
Those big wigs need to get over themselves.
I smell a clause in her Talk contract.
I didn’t watch the talk for an week or so and was saying what the hell happen to Holly and the funny chick now I know
Yeah, Holly and Leah are the best thing that happened on The Talk. When they left, the show has gone down the hill. I hope that it gets canceled.
Excellent!
I would love that Holly do so well playing the role on Mike & Molly that she may get her own show or so.
I would love for that to happen and especially if her show gets higher ratings than The Talk has.
Face it, Julie Chen. You are going down for what you did to Holly and Leah.
Holly and Leah made the talk very interesting, the show was class, but now??? Do you think that they were let go because of the thing they did when Holly pulled up her dress and went after Leah, then they both did like a romp on the floor and if sexing???, well anyway’s that was the funniest thing i had seen in a long time, come on people, thats nothing like some of these shows that have just plain elicit sex. Gay and Lesbian mess, and what ever. Now the talk needs to get more ethnic people on its show, and get back to some class.
Holly, you go girl! Happy to hear that you will be back on TV where you belong. I stopped watching The Talk when you and Leah were let go. I look forward to watching you on M&M and other shows in the future.
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE TALK WITH HOLLY AND LEAH ON THE SHOW, DON’T GET ME WRONG THE OTHER HOSTS WERE GOOD TO WATCH AS WELL, ESPECIALLY MRS.OSBORNE, HER, HOLLY AND LEAH REALLY MADE THE SHOW WORTH WATCHING, THEY WERE COMICAL, AND WOULD JUMP RIGHT IN WITH THEIR COMMENTS. NOT LIKE THE HOSTS ON THE SHOW NOW, THEY SEEM TO BE SOMEWHAT BORING, ON EDGE,WAITING FOR THEIR QUE AS WHEN THEY SHOULD SPEAK, AND MRS. OSBORNE DOESN’T SEEMS TO BE HER JOLLY SELF AS WHEN LEAH AND HOLLY WERE ON THE SHOW, LIKE THE OLD SAYING GOES, “IF ITS NOT BROKEN,DON’T FIX IT”. I DON’T SEE THE TALK LASTING ON THE AIR MUCH LONGER, I FOR ONE AM NOT LAUGHING AND SMILING WITH THE CAST AS MUCH ANYMORE, I’M FEELING LIKE MRS.OSBORNE IS LOOKING, UN-INTERESTED, I MISS LEAH AND HOLLY THEY BROUGHT LIFE TO THE SHOW. AS FOR THE COMMENT MADE BY J.WILLIAMS, AS TO WHOSE RADAR IS SHE ON, WELL LETS TAKE IT A LITTLE FURTHER, THAN THE TALK, HOLLY GOT HER RECOGNITION ON 21-JUMPSTREET, ALONG SIDE,THE NOW FAMOUS MR. JOHNNY DEPP,FOR STARTERS WITH HIS SEXY SELF, MR. J. WILLIAMS. THE ONLY SHOW I REMEMBER SARAH GILBERT FROM IS THE ROSEANNE SHOW, WERE THERE MORE, IF SO PLEASE FORGIVE ME, AND HEAD HOST I FORGET HER NAME, FORGIVE ME IF I’M WRONG, BUT I THINK ITS CHONG, ANY WAY WHERE DID SHE COME FROM AND WHO PUT HER ON THEIR RADAR, OOPS!!, HER HUBBY THE BIG EXECUTIVE OF THE SHOW, THATS HOW SHE GOT TO SIT IN THE CAPTAINS CHAIR. LOVE YOU GUYS WHILE IT LASTS!!! NOT-SO-INTERESTED-FAN, FROM: DETROIT, MICHIGAN.
Holly, I miss you and Leah. You guys was very funny and nice to see some classy women on the air on the The Talk. I have been wondering where you guys went to. I am sorry to see you off the Talk because you and Leah fit right in that show so perfectly. Leah was very funny and I miss her also. I thought maybe you guys were on vacation, but I kept waiting and waiting for you to return and now it looks like they have replaced you with this other lady. I hope you and Leah comes back on the show.
i am like you not -so-interested Detroit Mich fan… i miss them as well and as for Sarah Gilbert, she is the one who needs to be fired. she interrupts everyone when they are talking, she never lets them finish talking…. i like Leah and holly and the show is not is not the same with out them.. Mrs Osbourn is great and so is the one in the captain’s chair. but that Sarah needs to go……i watched the show every day with all of them there but now i don’t…sad fan in Oklahoma…
i have watched a few of the talk’s shows but boy i miss leah and holly. the show is not the same and i do like sharon o, but it so boring and not as much fun without these 2 ladies, i will not be watching from here on. some of the comments are very offensive anyway without leah and holly. tell me what have they told the audience, i never did hear.i thought these ladies were supposed to be friends. (lol)
